OK, that was the formal welcome. Now for the informal one ;) Welcome to the amazing world called Wikipedia, in the galaxy of Wiki. Be warned; it's very addicting and if you approach it carelessly, this ferocious beast called the edit will get you. It will bind you to Wikipedia, and eventually, you will be turned into one of us. But seriously, don't get too addicted (like what has happened to me) or you'll find yourself getting low marks at school exams (what happens to me). Anyway I see I've already been recommended by Her Holy Jamoley Highness, so as I've already said, I'd be glad to help you with anything about Wikipedia. Cheers. Hi! I'm another wikifriend of Her Majesty, Rebel Queen Pokeynut, and I'd just like to say hey, and welcome! Doin'Huh3.5 (talk) 19:19, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hey J (don't worry, I won't use your real name on the internet). It's me again. I'm going to make you a signature, and you can ask Chamal how to make it your raw signature, I can't be bothered and it confuses the hell out of me.

Anyways: Black Shirt CHERUB

if you don't like the colours, ask Chamal to change it. He's much better at this stuff than I am. You owe me big time, J! ~ Her Holy Jamoley Highness Rebel Queen Pokeynut 03:23, 2 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Link to Rebel Queen Pokeynut's user page is a BAD idea. In fact, it's not allowed (See WP:SIG). I'd advice you to remove that link before you use the sig, or I can guarantee that you will get a number of complaints about it. If you want me to help with setting up the signature, please ask :) Chamal Talk ± 15:13, 2 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hey Chamal, you're actually talking to me and yourself here, J is on holidays at the mo (I mean, we all are, but he's away down south or something). I changed the sig, so now I'm going to change mine because I can finally do it, so yeah! P.S - is the sig I made for J too long? ~ Her Holy Jamoley Highness Rebel Queen Pokeynut 02:30, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, and, I'll adopt you as soon as I get out of my own adoption. I'll get back to you on that. ~ Her Holy Jamoley Highness Rebel Queen Pokeynut 03:30, 2 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hey hey hey! Da pianista iz in da how-ooz! </gangstaspeak> :)
Just dropping in. I'm one of the Pokeynut's numerous friends on-wiki. —La Pianista (TCSR) 05:02, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hey guys, it's me, RQP (note the hot new sig). J is on hols at the moment, so you're kinda talking to yourselves - i check this page every now and then. He's not as Wiki-obsessed as I am - in fact, I hate to break it to ya, but I think the main reason he joined was so that he could have a userpage (he likes my userpage - but who doesn't?). I dunno - he might have changed his mind, but basically, he's not as obsessed as we are. Yet. That's gonna change. Very soon. ~ HJHLady Renegade 05:20, 6 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Motto of the Day Help Request April 2014

[edit]
Today's motto...

When you draw a situation - someone is scared or angry or happy - it means the same thing in all cultures.

Nominate one today!

Motto of the Day (WP:MOTD) is in a state of emergency and really needs your help! There are not enough editors who are reviewing or nominating mottos at Wikipedia:Motto of the day/Nominations/In review, and this probably means that you will notice a red link or “This space for rent” as our mottos for the next weeks and months.

Please take a moment to review the nominations and nominate your own new mottos at Wikipedia:Motto of the day/Nominations/In review and Wikipedia:Motto of the day/Nominations/'Specials. Any help would be appreciated! MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 09:13, 29 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

This message has been sent by pjoef on behalf of Motto of the Day to all editors of the English Wikipedia who are showing MOTD's templates on their pages, and to all the participants to MOTD: (page, template, and category).
