Comparatives
Hi,
thanks for reverting my apparently mistaken edits to most and more. I'd looked at the entry for the (disambiguation) for guidance, which does start off with the dictionary sense before listing the more encyclopedic ones, figuring what with "the" being the commonest English word, that had to be a good precedent, but I seem to have figured wrong.
Take another look at less, though, that one needs to be fixed one way or another.
Are you okay with my pointing least straight to the grammar article, given that that one looks to have no other senses of note?
Lastly, could you take a look at the disambiguation pages -er and er, and -est and est? The first pair are separate and have overlapping content, which is less than ideal, surely. The second pair are joint, so that's presumably the way to go.
Cheers,

Wikipedia Wars and the Israel-Palestine conflict...please fill out my survey?
Hello :) I am writing my MA dissertation on Wikipedia Wars and the Israel-Palestine conflict, and I noticed that you have contributed to those pages. I will be looking at the process of collaborative knowledge production on the Israel-Palestine conflict, and the effect it has on bias in the articles. This will involve understanding the profiles and motivations of editors, contention/controversy and dispute resolution in the talk pages, and bias in the final article.
For more information, you can check out my meta-wiki research page, where I will be posting my findings when I am done.
I would greatly appreciate if you could take 5 minutes to fill out this quick survey before 8 AUGUST 2021!
Thanks so much,

Refrain from deleting things when you don't understand the topic
Kindly refrain from deleting necessary changes simply because you do not understand the topic. It is not helpful. If you feel needed information is missing, then add it rather than deleting. If you are unable to add needed information because you lack knowledge of the subject, then leave it for someone else to add. Carl Kenner (talk) 11:16, 29 July 2021 (UTC)
- CarlKenner, it's not up to me to add the information that, as you say, I don't understand. The information was non-existent in Wikipedia at the time and failed WP:DABMENTION. older ≠ wiser 14:00, 29 July 2021 (UTC)
Cut and paste move
Hello, I was a bit lazy, so I just cut and pasted it instead of doing a requested move. I thought it was uncontroversial. I’ll probably do the move request properly this time.Sahaib3005 (talk) 17:52, 6 August 2021 (UTC)
Disambiguation question.
Mim dismbiguation page. Hello sir, I realized that you have rolled back the Mim Disambiguation page and the redirect links. Thanks for that.
My major worry is that, when I do Google search for Mim, nothing shows up. Ideal Wikipedia Articles are shown within the top 10 results. But it the case of Mim, which is a Disambiguation page, after doing the search, Google doesn't really bring up MIM at all. You can try that and see.
So my major question is, what can we do to make Mim more acces to Google search. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Boadu Emma (talk • contribs) 15:26, 23 August 2021 (UTC)
- Boadu Emma Wikipedia is not a means to achieve search engine optimization. I suggest you review that page. WP:Teahouse may also be a place to ask such questions. Basically, although some Wikipedia articles are highly placed in search results, articles do not automatically leap to the top of Google results. Google's and other search engine rankings have algorithms that are at least partly based on traffic and the number of links from a variety of sources to the article. So a Wikipedia article that few people visit will not appear high in search results. Also, new pages in particular may take some time to appear in results. older ≠ wiser 15:40, 23 August 2021 (UTC)

2+2=4
Just wondering why the edit was reverted. I thought it was reasonable that people would be looking for the answer to 2+2. I wasn't trying to vandalize the article. If my edit did violate some guideline, then I'm sorry.(JayPlaysStuff | talk to me | What I've been up to) 16:39, 23 August 2021 (UTC)
Zvezda
Please note that there are 4 other red links on the disambiguation page for Zvezda. Specifically, Zvezda, Targovishte Province, Zvezda spaceplane, Zvezda (watch) and AO Zvezda. You removed only my contribution on Zvezda (Serbian magazine) (link on Serbian Wikipedia) because it maintained a reference which I removed subsequently. Nevertheless, you removed it because there is no a standalone article. Should all the other red links be removed as well?--MirkoS18 (talk) 13:57, 28 August 2021 (UTC)
- The other red-link entries also have a blue link which mention the term. older ≠ wiser 14:54, 28 August 2021 (UTC)
- So, if I understood it correct, if I for example mention that the journal was published by Janko Veselinović (writer) it should be enough?--MirkoS18 (talk) 15:12, 28 August 2021 (UTC)
- Yes. 16:00, 28 August 2021 (UTC)
- (talk page watcher) @MirkoS18: But only because the journal is actually mentioned in Veselinovic's article: the blue-linked article must mention the topic in the red link. PamD 16:42, 28 August 2021 (UTC)
- MirkoS18 In addition to what PamD said (basically WP: DABMENTION, there is WP:DABRL which indicates the term should be redlinked only if it if linked from other articles, or in other words, that there is reasonable likelihood that an article could be written on the topic. older ≠ wiser 17:05, 28 August 2021 (UTC)
