Hello, Bjewiki. By not wiki-linking interim captains & interim alternate captains. It helps unfamilliar readers, point out the true captain & alternates from the player's 'filling in' in injury cases. Also cuts down on wiki-links being added & removed. GoodDay 21:23, 10 January 2007 (UTC)
I apologise for mistakingly identifying you as the vandal. It seems to have been caused by a timing issue where 3 of us were trying to revert the proper vandalism. Thank you for pointing this out to me and for being as courteous as you were. Sorry. --Catalyst2007 18:56, 28 January 2007 (UTC)

Hello Bjewiki. I agree with your views on the 'interim' tag being removed from the Flyers captain list. Perhaps you should bring up a recommendation to Wikipedia talk: WikiProject Ice Hockey/Team pages format, calling on the removal of 'interim' tags from NHL team captains lists. You'd have my support on that move. GoodDay 23:13, 16 February 2007 (UTC)

Eagles Undrafted Free Agent
I had already added Paschal, he is a a free safety. Please look a little harder before making edits like that.Chris Nelson 18:14, 30 April 2007 (UTC)
1. Paschal is a free safety. Those other Eagles safeties you mentioned also back up specific safety positions, though obviously they could play both.
2. I've just been standardizing the rosters for now. If/when a consensus is reached and if it differs from what I've done, it'll change.Chris Nelson 19:21, 30 April 2007 (UTC)
I say he's a free safety because he played there in 2006 and the Iowa Hawkeyes website says he is one. I doubt any random mock draft site is a better authority. Also, it's really not a problem with the template at all because he was just drafted. Once he practices and plays, and if he makes the team, he'll be moved if necessary. The roster just lists where players are currently BEST defined. The depth charts (which can be found right below the rosters on the team pages) provide the greater detail of all the positions guys play.Chris Nelson 20:36, 30 April 2007 (UTC)
Also, I moved Gaither back to OLB because the Philadelphia Inquirer says he is the projected starter on the weak side.Chris Nelson 20:38, 30 April 2007 (UTC)
Ah okay, then change it back.Chris Nelson 20:42, 30 April 2007 (UTC)

Eagles roster
You are right, the Eagles website is very good as far as updating goes. I do go to every team website every day and they are very good. However, Gocong is starting at one position and is not even backing up the other (or at least not one of the top six guys at the position). As accurate as the Eagles website is, the listed positions on the roster, like with all team sites, are not always as accurate as they could be. The depth chart and roster contradict each other, so why are you taking the word of one of over the other?
We have the ability to present more accurate info than the team websites do by utilizing recent news and what actually happens. Take offensive linemen Joe Toledo for example. He's listed at tackle, which he was in college, and has always been listed as a tackle in the Dolphins' roster since he was drafted in 2006. Yet he was competing strictly at guard during training camp last year and was actually LEADING the competition for the right guard job before he went on IR. During minicamps in 2007, he once again worked at guard competing with Chris Liwienski. Yet you think I should list him at tackle because the official site says so, even if he doesn't play it? Bullshit. I am using the roster as a base and then adding/updating according to what actually happens in real life. Rosters should be as accurate as possible, and since Gocong does not play end and will not play end he doesn't need to be listed there.Chris Nelson 02:23, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
It's verifiable he's LISTED at that, but it's also not accurate. It's VERIFIABLE that he's not an end either. Boo-yah. Also, you're being inconsistent. Why have ANY of these linebackers listed as SLB, WLB, MLB? Like you said, it's not a depth chart right. They aren't listed as those on the ALMIGHTY OFFICIAL ROSTER. It's simply 'LB'. I thought it wasn't a depth chart, hmmm?Chris Nelson 02:28, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
My edit fits that too. ;) Chris Nelson 02:51, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
Gocong
Since you two are carrying this out on each others talk pages, I will leave you with this Eagles depth chart. It does not list Gocong anywhere as a DE. However, the attitude that X is happening is real life and is therefore accurate is a tough one to win. Verification is important, as is not breaking the three revert rule. I would suggest both of you working out a compromise. Otherwise both of you will wind up at the 3RR notice board.

Eagles staff
Dude, you KNOW that a nutrition consultant is not relevant enough to be on the staff template. Come on.Chris Nelson 21:15, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
Re: Eagles staff template
I think the line has to be drawn somewhere, Bjewiki. Nutrition consultants, minor coaching assistants, pro personnel directors, and player development directors have all been intentionally left off the templates. Only the basic positional coaches are being included in their staff templates. Pats1 21:17, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, the eagles draw the line at listing 19 coaches on their official "Coaching" page on their website. So, why are we only listing 18 of them? Bjewiki 21:33, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
- Because there are common guidelines utilized in each coach template. It isn't as cut and dry as you would like to make it out to be. And are you deliberately trying to get me to violate WP:3RR? Get a life. Pats1 21:42, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
Use common sense. By the way, you have been reported for violating WP:3RR.Chris Nelson 21:39, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
