User talk:Biosthmors/Money and politics in the United States
Suggestion
[edit]Before you do a lot of additional work on this draft article, you may want to check and see which of your sections are already covered (or not covered) by full articles already. You already have a link to Campaign finance in the United States, but there are also articles that cover some of your other subjects, such as Campaign advertising and Political action committee. I did not check the others. But if what you would end up with is an article that consists mostly of links to other articles that cover the subjects in greater depth, I am not sure if that justifies a new article. (This is just my opinion.) Beyond that, you may run into an issue with WP:SYNTH, because it appears that your article would be a collection of various subjects that implies a connection between them, and you would need sources that connect all of these diverse subjects into one theme. (Some are clearly related anyway, such as campaign funding, campaign advertising and political action committees, but Campaign finance in the United States already deals with PAC's, and somewhat with advertising. Any advertising-related issues that don't belong in the "Campaign finance..." article probably would not belong in the "Money and politics..." article either.) I do not mean to discourage you from creating a new article, but I just thought you should consider these issues before proceeding much further. Neutron (talk) 17:05, 16 September 2013 (UTC)
