Speedy deletion nomination of BDIC (disambiguation)
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice that BDIC (disambiguation), a page that you created, has been tagged for deletion. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which articles can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may be soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:
- It appears to be a test page. (See section G2 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do, and take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia.
- It is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. (See section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Wikipedia has standards for the minimum necessary information to be included in short articles; you can see these at Wikipedia:Stub. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Kumioko (talk) 22:05, 6 April 2013 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free media (File:Northwest Territories Business Development and Investment Corporation (Official Logo).png)
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Northwest Territories Business Development and Investment Corporation (Official Logo).png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:18, 8 April 2013 (UTC)

The Gold Range
[edit]I just noticed your edit to The Gold Range. However, the source says nothing about expropriating Block 31, lots 4-7. According to the Yellowknife City Council they bought the two properties (three lots) next to the Gold Range in 2012, and it was those two the council voted to tear down. Cheers. CambridgeBayWeather (talk) 22:48, 9 April 2013 (UTC)
- But the sources do not say that they have purchased or expropriated the Gold Range lots. All the sources say is that the have purchased the Instaloan and Corner Mart lots. That is, block 31, lots 8-10 which they intend to use in the short term. But there is no indication that it will be a parking lot and they may come up with another idea. In the long run the council may decide to expropriate or be able to negotiate a purchase with the Gold Range owners but to say that without a source is original reasearch. - Thanks. I will look and see if I can find more sources on it. I'm sure that at one point there was a suggestion that the façade be kept in place but I have no idea how serious that was. CambridgeBayWeather (talk) 23:11, 9 April 2013 (UTC)
