A tag has been placed on Draft:Autzu Driveshare, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Fancy Refrigerator (talk) 11:32, 23 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I would like to contest the speedy deletion of the Draft:Autzu Driveshare page, as I believe it may have been flagged for deletion without considering the potential significance and notability of the subject. While I acknowledge that the initial version of the article may have appeared promotional in tone, I have made substantial revisions to ensure it adheres to Wikipedia's guidelines on neutrality and verifiability.
The company, Autzu, is involved in the rapidly growing fields of ridesharing, electric vehicles, and autonomous vehicles. It has formed notable partnerships with major industry players like Uber, which demonstrates the company's relevance and impact within the transportation sector.
Furthermore, I have made efforts to include reliable sources in the article that discuss the future of autonomous vehicles, such as reports from the National Academy of Sciences and the U.S. Department of Energy. These sources provide context for the importance of the company's work in contributing to the future of sustainable and autonomous urban transportation.
Given these revisions and the potential notability of the subject, I kindly request that the speedy deletion tag be removed and that the article be allowed to undergo a more thorough review process. I am committed to working with the Wikipedia community to address any remaining concerns and to improve the article further, as needed.
Thank you for your consideration. Billhmconnor (talk) 22:03, 24 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Billhmconnor. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Billhmconnor. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Billhmconnor|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Fancy Refrigerator (talk) 11:32, 23 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your feedback on the submission for Autzu. I understand your concerns regarding the notability, neutrality, and promotional tone of the article. Please allow me to address each of these concerns and demonstrate how the submission aligns with Wikipedia's guidelines.
Notability: According to Wikipedia's notability guidelines for companies, a business is considered notable if it has received significant coverage from reliable, independent sources. The Autzu article includes references from reputable sources, such as articles from Medium, which provide coverage of the company's vision, partnerships, and future plans. Autzu's partnerships with major rideshare companies like Uber and Via, and its impact on urban mobility, further demonstrate the company's relevance in the industry.
To strengthen the notability of the article, I can include additional third-party sources that cover Autzu's achievements, industry impact, and recognition. This will provide a broader perspective on the company's significance and meet Wikipedia's notability criteria.
Neutrality and Promotional Tone: I appreciate your concerns regarding the neutrality and promotional tone of the article. While it is important to showcase the company's achievements and vision, it is essential to maintain a neutral point of view, as per Wikipedia's guidelines.
To address this, I will revise the article to provide a more balanced representation of Autzu. This includes removing any language that may be perceived as promotional or biased and ensuring that the content is supported by reliable sources. The revisions will emphasize factual information and reduce any subjective language to ensure a neutral and objective presentation.
Conflict of Interest: I understand the importance of avoiding conflicts of interest when contributing to Wikipedia. I am independent with no personal stake or affiliation with Autzu. My purpose is to provide accurate and unbiased information to enrich Wikipedia's content and serve its readers.
Once again, thank you for your valuable feedback. I will make the necessary revisions to the Autzu article to ensure it adheres to Wikipedia's guidelines on notability, neutrality, and conflict of interest. Your guidance and suggestions are instrumental in creating an informative and accurate Wikipedia page for Autzu. Billhmconnor (talk) 21:57, 24 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Billhmconnor. Thank you for helping to build Wikipedia-- the world's largest free content encyclopedia. The page Draft:Autzu Driveshare has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seemed to be unambiguous advertising which only promoted a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to have been fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

This article needs to be rewritten from scratch from reliable, third party sources unconnected to the subject. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia. It is not an outlet for promotion, advocacy, or advertising.

Information on content and common pitfalls to avoid can be located here and here, however be aware that this is not an exhaustive list. Pages can sometimes avoid these pitfalls and still be seen as an ad copy or unambiguously promotional, particularly if the editor appears to be a paid editor or has some other conflict of interest. Please review these policies, including the FAQ page on organizations to determine if this applies to you.

Common mistakes or beliefs about promotional editing center on the assumption that promotional editing only applies to promotion for commercial gain. Some tags or G11 nominations are met with confusion by creators, particularly if they spend much time reading or creating corporate documents, mission/vision statements, or similar copy for their organization. The frequent exposure to promotional tone may make it difficult to notice non-neutral phrases or styles, as the editor has grown accustomed to seeing it as everyday writing or speech. This can be difficult, but not impossible, to unlearn.

Another common assumption is that the prohibition against promotional editing applies only to businesses or organizations. Anything can be promoted, including a person, a non-commercial organization, a point of view, etc. and CV/resumé's are by their nature promotional.

Wikipedia is an encyclopedia-- subjects must meet notability guidelines with reliable sources that are unconnected with the subject and providing verifiable information. That generally means someone unconnected with the subject needs to have written a great deal about the subject. Please see this page on citing sources and Wikipedia:Common sourcing mistakes (notability). This page has templates you can use in citing your sources. Place the template {{Reflist}} at the bottom of the page, and references cited in the text will appear there. New article creation can be difficult, but the Article Wizard can help you. The new user tutorial can help you avoid future problems. You can also ask for help at the TEAHOUSE and on IRC chat. Wikipedia:The Wikipedia Adventure is a useful tutorial.

New article creation can be difficult and frustrating. Sometimes it is better to first gain experience by fixing and helping maintain existing articles. Wikipedia:Community portal/Opentask contains links to things that badly need doing, if you are so inclined. -- Deepfriedokra (talk) 11:36, 23 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I've converted your first unblock request into a comment. You may have only one unblock request at a time, and I assume you want your second to replace your first.--Bbb23 (talk) 22:14, 24 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Bbb23: My apologies, that was embarrassing. 47.227.95.73 (talk) 22:16, 24 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, I removed it all together. Billhmconnor (talk) 22:18, 24 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Bbb23I apologize for any confusion my actions caused. I'm not affiliated with Autzu-media; the name choice was a mistake. I've learned from this experience and kindly ask for a second chance to contribute constructively. Thank you for considering my request Billhmconnor (talk) 22:24, 24 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Correct, thanks @Bbb23 Billhmconnor (talk) 22:32, 24 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Billhmconnor, I owe you an apology as well for how I handled your unblock request. I wish you luck with this one. 47.227.95.73 (talk) 23:20, 24 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thats OK. @Bbb23 can you unblock my account? Billhmconnor (talk) 00:18, 25 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I understand that my account has been blocked on suspicion of being a sockpuppet account for Autzu-media. I would like to clarify that while I initially created an account using that name to post the page, I am not affiliated with the company, and the name choice was a mistake on my part. I then created my current account under my name and personal email to contribute in a more transparent manner.

My intention was to create a neutral and informative article on a subject that I believe is notable and relevant to the current developments in the transportation industry. I apologize for any confusion or inconvenience my actions may have caused. If my edits or contributions have raised concerns, I am more than willing to work with the Wikipedia community to address them and ensure that all content I submit adheres to Wikipedia's guidelines and policies.

I kindly request that my account be unblocked so that I may continue to contribute constructively to the Wikipedia community. Thank you for considering my request.

Decline reason:

We have no way of knowing if an email address is "business" or "personal" as we don't have access to your specific email address(unless you reply to emails sent via Wikipedia). You may use whatever email address you wish. Your initial account was blocked, so you should not have created and used this account. That is sock puppetry. Please return to your original account and request unblock there. When there, you can say that you intend to use this account after the blocks are removed.331dot (talk) 08:12, 25 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

I am appealing this block because I created an alternate account using the name of a company by mistake, and was blocked for suspected sock puppetry. I had no intention of violating Wikipedia's policies and am willing to close the account in question. I would like to request the opportunity to continue contributing using my current account, and will ensure that my contributions adhere to Wikipedia's guidelines. Thank you for your understanding.
