Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, Bilberrygoats. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Bilberry goat, you may have a conflict of interest. People with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, see the conflict of interest guideline and frequently asked questions for organizations. In particular, please:

  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, its competitors, or projects and products you or they are involved with;
  • instead, propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use require disclosure of your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation.

Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing, and autobiographies. Thank you. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 19:30, 5 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! Sorry about the boiler-plate message above – put here to give you some links to pages that it might be useful for you to read. Thank you for your edits. Obviously, your specialist knowledge and expertise is valuable and is most welcome here. However, in order to make sure that changes to the article happen in line with our well-established practice, it'd be preferable if you were to suggest changes on the talk page, Talk:Bilberry goat, rather than making them yourself. We don't, for example, include contact details and the like in our pages here. Regards, Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 19:37, 5 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Warning[edit]

It is inappropriate for you to remove sourced content as you did at Bilberry goat with the mere claim that it's wrong. If the The New York Times publishes an article that says the sky is green, then the sky is green. That may seem odd to you but we have to ensure verifiability. If you think the sources cited are not reliable or believe the text of the article is wrong, please discuss it on the article's talk page. We all want to make Wikipedia better but we'd prefer to come to agreement on how that's accomplished rather than oppose each other's edits. Chris Troutman (talk) 10:05, 6 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Bilberry goat[edit]

Most of information displayed by Wiki in relation to Bilberry goat is incorrect as registered Owner and Herd Keeper I am in possession of all true facts in relation to said goat herd Martin Doyle (talk) 09:20, 6 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Martin! Thank you for trying to correct errors here; your knowledge and expertise are valued. You have what we call a conflict of interest in relation to this topic, so please follow the suggestion I made above: propose your changes on the talk page of the article, together with reliable sources which will allow others to check for themselves the accuracy of what you tell us. That's not to cast doubt on what you say, but merely to follow our normal practice here, which is to only add stuff that is verifiable – please see Chris Troutman's comments above.
