Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia

The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, but when you add or change content, as you did to the article Google Sky, please cite a reliable source for the content of your edit. This helps maintain our policy of verifiability. See Wikipedia:Citing sources for how to cite sources, and the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Regarding your edits on Google Sky... Your changes are being reverted because they are opinion. Around here we call that original research. What we're doing here with this project is building an encyclopedia that's built on reliable sources. So, with each edit you make, you should be supplying a reference that backs up your statement. For a tutorial on how to do this please check out "Referencing for Beginners". Thanks and talk to you later. Dawnseeker2000 03:54, 29 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello again. Our articles are written in an encyclopedic tone. We don't address the reader. Your posts frequently tell the reader to "go to google.com/sky". This is not a formal tone and is generally unsuitable in an encyclopedia, where the writer should be invisible to the reader. Also, what you're suggesting is really a fringe theory. Wikipedia articles are being shaped to include only material that is based on reliable sources and conspiracy theories don't really have a place here. Dawnseeker2000 01:42, 30 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
