Request reason:

According to the blocking administrator, I'm "block evasion" for correcting an IP's edit. The song may be #109 now, but it debuted at #2 and I can source that (if it hasn't been sourced already, I think it has from bbc.co.uk, a reliable source. Don't see how correcting something equates to "blocl evasion" rather trying to keep Wikipedia truthful and accurate. If I did something wrong, please explain. Otherwise, I respectfully disagree with this block. Thank you.

Decline reason:

Your first edit was exactly the same as the blocked editor. Looks like block evasion to me, and you've offered no credible explanation. Regardless of how good you think your edit is, you may not edit if you have an account that's blocked. Go ask for an unblock on your primary account. Request reason:

Okay, that makes sense, but this is the first time I edited (excluding when I edited for a little while under an IP but that was about two years ago). So i've had no previous account as such. This is my first account and I didn't know that my edit was the samre as the blocked editor, only that it needed correcting because it debuted at #2 not #109. I don't even think the chart goes as high as 109 places as it is. I'm sorry if I looked like a blocked editor.

Your explanation seems reasonable to me, but rather than immediately unblocking you I have contacted the blocking admin in case he/she has any other reason that I am not aware of. JamesBWatson (talk) 09:14, 10 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
