Cheers
It was definitely an eventful few days! I must say I'm somewhat unimpressed with the Irish martyrs/atheists/blasphemers and their 25 quotes. How can they possibly not include this one? 2 lines of K303 13:39, 4 January 2010 (UTC)
- Have to agree a piss poor attempt a blasphemy could do a million times better. BigDunc 13:49, 4 January 2010 (UTC)
- Posting some quotes on the internet is hardly sticking your head in a lion's mouth and flicking his knackers with a wet towel either. If they were really up for it they'd stand outside Pearse Street or Leinster House with a megaphone surely? 2 lines of K303 14:07, 4 January 2010 (UTC)
- Very true outside the GPO on a busy Saturday should do the trick. BigDunc 14:21, 4 January 2010 (UTC)

Good intervention
Good intervention on this discussion a chara! Like I've said before, nip the petty shit stirring in the bud early, solves a lot of problems. --Domer48'fenian' 20:45, 12 January 2010 (UTC)

You can pick them!
Another of your mates? Not that your the only one being picked on. Not very original, and seems to be a bit of a sad O! ahhh really really sad. --Domer48'fenian' 20:41, 14 January 2010 (UTC)

Davy Payne
Hi Dunc, an IP keeps adding unsourced information to the Davy Payne article and putting it where my refs are so it appears as if it's sourced info. I noticed you reverted him/her yesterday. What can we do about it? The other day he added something about a living person that violated BLP.--Jeanne Boleyn (talk) 07:17, 19 January 2010 (UTC)
- Not really much you can do, inform the IP about WP:BLP and also if they revert also inform them of the 1RR that is in place on Troubles related articles. If they continue then report them to WP:AE. BigDunc 11:07, 19 January 2010 (UTC)
- The 1RR means that one can only revert an article once, then if the info is re-added we cannot make another revert?! Bit of a drag that.--Jeanne Boleyn (talk) 13:13, 19 January 2010 (UTC)
- No it means 1 revert per day also note clear vandalism, or edits by anonymous IP editors, may be reverted without penalty. BigDunc 13:20, 19 January 2010 (UTC)

...BigDunc. Such a discussion wouldn't been too tempting for my alter-ego. I've got to keep Mr. Hyde in his place. GoodDay (talk) 17:29, 25 January 2010 (UTC)

Outstanding issues
Heading to London tomorrow and I'll probably be suffering for my sins for a day or six after, so keep an eye on things please? You seem to be doing ok anyway, despite the attempts of others.. 2 lines of K303 14:34, 29 January 2010 (UTC)

Ryan Semple
These disagreements seem to be happening all over wikipedia. Jammal Shahin was the last one, English born, Jordanian passport, Jordanian parents, but yet his national flag on the Grimsby Town page, I was told had to be his birth country, so an English flag remained. Thats what Im taking into account with Ryan Semple. Whether or not he has chosen to play international football or not, does not take away the fact he is N.Irish by birth. So naturally isn't that the flag that should be listed? There are lots of players with dual nationalities, in this circumstance, Iffy Onuora for example is another one, he was always put under a Scottish flag. And even using myself as an example, I have a Polish mother, and an English father, but I was born here, so I am therefore English. Leaving the player without no flag looks untidy, and in the most Ive never come across a player in the squad listing sections who don't have a national flag next to them. If they don't its normally because of lack of information on the player, but seeing as we have all the information on Semple, I don't see why he hasn't got his nations flag next too him? Regards Footballgy (talk) 15:16, 29 January 2010 (UTC)
- A persons birthplace is never used per WP:FLAGBIO and also the Ulster Banner the flag you restored is not the flag of Northern Ireland. It is only used in some certain sporting events, saying that soccer is one of them, but as he has never played for NI or indicated that he wished too then the flag doesn't go in. Anyone born in NI is by birth eligible to play for both NI and ROI. BigDunc 15:23, 29 January 2010 (UTC)
- Okay, with that taken into account, what about the rest of the footballers who are on here, who haven't played International football, and remain with Ulster flags? Are you able to take them all down without having any edit conflicts from Wikipedia's football moderators? I mean if thats the case, I will know for the future, but it just strikes me as unusual, plus it looks odd with the players having no national flag next too there name. Regards Footballgy (talk) 15:34, 29 January 2010 (UTC)
- If the person is not capped or we dont have a source that indicates that they wish to represent NI then the flag can't go in as it is only then being used to represent their place of birth. BigDunc 15:39, 29 January 2010 (UTC)

- But in most cases, the flags are there to represent players place of birth. Only a small number of players go onto make international appearances, and lets face it, I'd be very surprised if Semple got the opportunity to choose which country to represent, as I doubt he will get the chance to play International football. ¿NPOV? :S
Hi BigDunc. Well, about your reversion-of-my reversion to one previous (and better contextualized) version at Arnaldo Otegi that you justify with the argument "Undid per Neutral Point of View" (!)... I suppose this is a mistake... Maybe I could understand this if I had deleted Basque but... for to put back, next to this, the legal nationality O_o? I really don't know why this person is denominated (only) Basque, and not Spanish, when Euskadi is not a sovereign state, he was born in the Spanish State, and (actually) he is Spanish, and to hide this is a real lack of NPOV. This information is already in the infobox, ok... but infobox is not a substitute of the introduction, that contextualizes the article, so if you are going to indicate in the biographies only the autonomous communities of Spain where the characters was born... mustn't you to indicate that Federico García Lorca was (only) an Andalusian writer? or Manuel Fraga Iribarne is (only) a Galician politician?... or Rosa Díez, (the current lendakari) Patxi López and Luis María Bandrés are (only) Basque politicians?... You can be sure that (today) all of them (except Lorca, obviously) has (only) "Spanish" in their passport. Could you reconsider your reversion? or explain me which is the reason of this special consideration (or indicate me an administrator who explain to me the policy that inevitably mark to my reversion as a contraindicated edit and not yours)? Sorry if I importunate you with this message, it's only that it was surprising to me that my reversion was undid with this argument. Despite this, congratulations for your good work as a reversor. Best regards to you. Thks very much. 95.63.87.167 (talk) 20:03, 29 January 2010 (UTC)
I'll have to start a RfC on Elonka
I've tried every reasonable way I know how to get her to back up here claims, allegations and probations all to no avail. The only option appears to be a formal RfC. There is no one can say that I and others did not try. --Domer48'fenian' 18:17, 30 January 2010 (UTC)
