Where Polly People Go To Read moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Where Polly People Go To Read, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please follow the prompts on the Articles for Creation template atop the page. ... discospinster talk 14:20, 24 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Uploading images

[edit]

Hi. I see you uploaded the updated the cover of III (Lumineers album), but you uploaded a larger-than-allowed JPG. Please know, JPGs are of inferior quality to PNGs, which are the preferred file format for album covers on Wikipedia. Also, the maximum allowed image size for a fair use cover is 316×316, but the preferred dimensions are 300×300. Your image has been resized by a bot. In future, please resize your image to 300×300 and convert it to a PNG if you don't want it to be replaced. If you don't know how to do either, you can look up how to do so on Google—there are websites that can do both for you. Thanks. Ss112 18:56, 10 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. The page Mercy (Remo Drive album) has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done under section R2 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it was a redirect from the article namespace to a different namespace except the Category, Template, Wikipedia, Help, or Portal namespaces.

Please do not recreate the material without addressing these concerns, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If you think this page should not have been deleted for this reason, you may contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you may open a discussion at Wikipedia:Deletion review. Please don't recreate articles that have been deleted or converted to a redirect following an WP:AFD unless you have sources that address the concerns raised in the discussion and make a plausible case towards meeting notability guidelines. While it is not always clear what state an article was in before it was deleted, in the case of Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/I'm Glad We're Friends the whole article is in the page history so there's really no excuse. signed, Rosguill talk 18:58, 23 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Ways to improve My Anti-Aircraft Friend

[edit]

Hello, BigChungusOnVinyl,

Thank you for creating My Anti-Aircraft Friend.

I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:

Would ideally like to see a review of this album from a reliable source to confer notability. There are only two sources (Brooklyn Vegans and Stereogum) for the album itself, not singles released beforehand. These are both only just over the line in terms of SIGCOV, and I’m not sure of the reliability of Brooklyn Vegan.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Jonathan Deamer}}. Remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.

Delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.

Hello BigChungusOnVinyl,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Stepdream for deletion, because it's a redirect from an article title to a namespace that's not for articles.

If you don't want Stepdream to be deleted, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

ArbCom 2024 Elections voter message

[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2024 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:41, 19 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The page Sayso Says has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia.

Information icon Please do not add original research or novel syntheses of published material to articles as you apparently did to Nettspend. Please cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. Thank you. CarbonLollipop (talk) 00:45, 6 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you violate Wikipedia's biographies of living persons policy by inserting unsourced or poorly sourced defamatory or otherwise controversial content into an article or any other Wikipedia page, as you did at Nettspend. TylerBurden (talk) 22:15, 6 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

What content exactly are you referring to that I added to the article? I don't recall ever adding anything "defamatory" or "controversial" to the page and was just updating information regarding his discography. Just a bit confused on what exactly you're referring to here BigChungusOnVinyl (talk) 08:02, 7 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You conveniently skipped out on the first part of unsourced, which is the relevant one. You added "His debut studio album, Bad Ass F*cking Kid, was released on December 6, 2024.". None of the sources said the album had actually released, and this is something you've done repeatedly over literal years of editing, hence why you're getting a final warning for unsourced editing to BLP's.
