Errors #80 and #86
I think it's time you get approval for bot fixing high priority errors #80 and #86. -- Magioladitis (talk) 14:26, 15 November 2012 (UTC)
- 80 still needs to be done by hand as AWB doesn't catch the majority of them. I think I received approval for any checkwiki error?? Any reason you aren't doing #48 via bot?
- OK. That;s great news you can do everything. You can then also copy my last BRFA. Hm... I could do 48 too. -- Magioladitis (talk) 22:32, 15 November 2012 (UTC)

Adminship
Do you want to become an administrator? Do you need the tools? Have I asked you before? -- Magioladitis (talk) 00:50, 16 November 2012 (UTC)
- Hello, let me quickly inform you I am wandering among the dead people right now. The 4 articles I have created in last 24 hours are–
- I wish to work more on these articles and create few more articles on suicide series (Suicide series.. sounds weird? he he.. )
- I think I'll require something special to bring my attention and consciousness from "dead" to "life"
- Now,
- Magioladitis has posted this message. Following my bad habit, I have replied in his talk page, you have to read my reply there.
- So, are you to ready to become an admin? If you are, it might be a good opportunity for me to concentrate and celebrate something o(n/f) "life"
- You may be interested
- I am personally very much fond of Bollywood films where everything is dramatic. In this adminship request I wanted to do a "date-fixing" so that the nomination gets closed on 15 August. Indian Independence Day and adminship on the same day. It could be very dramatic But, because of delay of a co-nom the nomination closing got delayed by 1 day and he became admin on 16 August.. (Independence day 15 August and he became admin on the next day, still semi-dramatic, he will tell stories to his grand-children– on that year's independence day, I was fully occupied with the thoughts and tension of my Wikipedia (yes, you have heard it right, the one and only Wikipedia) adminship nomination. At the night, Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi came to my dream and told me– "Don't worry beta, today is date when we got freedom, sleep well, you'll be admin tomorrow"...
- Now, if you are a special-date-philic like me (I don't think you are, or by chance, if you are), we can try to do another date fix if any special date (your birthday, country's independence day, Wikipedia first edit day etc) is coming soon.
- An (most probably the only) issue to oppose might be too many AWB edits.
- That's all for now! --Tito Dutta (talk) 08:58, 16 November 2012 (UTC)
- Then who is going to nominate? Magioladitis has aksked me to nom and he'd co-nom. You have asked me to co-nom! --Tito Dutta (talk) 09:06, 16 November 2012 (UTC)
- You misunderstood my bad writing. Magioladits said he would co-nominate if asked, so I was saying yes to that. Please still do the initial nomination. Magioladitis might be gone this weekend, so get with him to work out the timing.
- I have no special date. Hmmm, working on suicide articles, are you trying to say something? Ah Bollywood. Home to Aishwarya Rai and Kaif. Those two have to be the most beauty actresses in the world. My last two films I watched were a Chinese film and a Swedish film, so I like seeing films from allover. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bgwhite (talk • contribs) 09:12, 16 November 2012 UTC

Blockquote
You recently changed a blockquote at Skunk Works to simple indentation by colons. The edit summary was 'WP:CHECKWIKI error fix id #39'. Is there a reason why blockquotes are bad? Is there a wiki page somewhere that gives details about error fix #39? I see blockquotes as displaying correctly and also providing the function benefit of telling editors and screen reader programs (for the visually impaired) that this is a quote. The simple colons appear the same to most sighted readers (although the blockquote indents both sides and colons only indent on the left) but editors and screen readers programs now have less information and inexperienced editors may be tempted to remove those colons. Stepho talk 23:43, 16 November 2012 (UTC)
- It was not the blockquote, but the <p> inside the blockquote. I found the best was to deal with <p> in blockquotes was to use colons... It ends up looking very similar. I didn't know about visually impaired programs. By all means, put the blockquote back, but leave out the p. Bgwhite (talk) 00:30, 17 November 2012 (UTC)
- I stumbled on the cause of the problem. A bug in the mediawiki software that has been around since 2006. A patch was issued in 2011, but nothing has come of it. Bgwhite (talk) 06:25, 17 November 2012 (UTC)
- Ah, I didn't see that lonely <p>. I read up a bit (Template:Quote) and the recommended solution for multiple paragraphs seems to be to put matched <p> and </p> pairs in for each paragraph. Kind of ugly and awkward to edit but it does seem to work. Stepho talk 10:19, 17 November 2012 (UTC)
Hannah Jones model page problem sight
Clearly someone made a Hannah Jones page but this time the info-box reads Hannah Jones (model) on top the question is how will you make the page like Catherine Thomas. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 112.198.90.169 (talk) 14:59, 17 November 2012 (UTC)
- It is done by adding the
|name=
parameter to the infobox. I added it in Jones' article. It is located right at the top. Bgwhite (talk) 19:40, 17 November 2012 (UTC)
Nicholas Schwaderer
Saw your name at Nicholas Schwaderer, interesting character. Twenty-four year old member of the Montana House or Representatives who has "seen some pretty scary vaginas"...and..."won’t object to the occasional blowy". Fascinating country you live in. Still watching the First Doctor episodes, the Daleks are just as scary in the 60s as they are today, maybe more (because they are in black and white). --kelapstick(bainuu) 15:41, 17 November 2012 (UTC)
- You will see my name the majority of new articles. I have little minions running around. That is very funny. Don't know if that could be made into a DYK, but I might just try. I haven't seen the episodes just yet. My wife is taking time off at the end of November and we will watch it then. Bgwhite (talk) 19:45, 17 November 2012 (UTC)
- Best of luck with that goal, maybe I should try some expansion on it tomorrow night. Would make a very entertaining hook. I haven't been overly impressed with the First Doctor thus far, I am hoping it picks up. After An Unearthly Child the next three episodes (rest of the series) weren't that great, might just be because I was watching them after working night shift. I do however feel I must stick it out and watch all the episodes that the BBC has to offer (for free) while I can. It will be nice when I get home and can put them on the TV rather than watching them on the iPad. --kelapstick(bainuu) 20:00, 17 November 2012 (UTC)
activepol flag on Biography banner
Yesterday, I set "activepol=yes" on the talk pages of several articles about people who are candidates for statewide office in Virginia next year, and thus seem to be likely targets for edit warring. You removed one of those today in the course of editing Talk:Aneesh Chopra. Before I reset it, I thought I'd ask: is this flag still considered useful? I won't bother with it otherwise. Thanks for replying. Rklear (talk) 23:26, 17 November 2012 (UTC)
- I removed it because it looked like he wasn't an active politician, but I didn't see the last sentence. I rarely see the parameter and checking Category:Active politicians, there are 2,440 articles with the tag out of 100,000 articles with politician-work-group=yes. I don't see where this is a required parameter. I personally wouldn't go around specifically adding the parameter, but would add it if I came across a talk page that needed it. So, all I can say is if you think there is going to be increased risk of vandalism for the individual politician, then add it. I don't know Virginia politics, so it is upto you. Delay rule!
That's a famous rule. I read about it in internet in 2010. Right now, I can find this one.
And, RFA: Candidate, please indicate acceptance of the nomination here: I saw few Hollywood movies yesterday 1) Jurassic Shark (yes, not "Park", it was Shark), 2) The Dinosaur Project! Did not like very much. --Tito Dutta (talk) 08:23, 18 November 2012 (UTC)
- I'm busier than normal on Saturday and Sunday. I have the pleasure of going thru in-law
hellfun. I just finished up my daily routine and will finish off the nomination... hey I did a first draft. I have no time on Sunday because I'm making the birthday dinner for the in-laws. Dinosaur Project is an English film, not Hollywood. Jurassic Shark is Canadian. I've never heard of either film. You really need to look at IMDb before watching as Shark has gotten two stars out of 10. Headhunters was the Swedish film I just watched. Better watch it soon because Hollywood is going to do a version, which means they are going to do a horrible version. What are the type of films you like to watch? How easy is it to get films/tv shows. I have Netflix, which means I can practically get anything. Bgwhite (talk) 08:45, 18 November 2012 (UTC)- Forgot, Magiolidits is also busy this weekend, so starting the nomination on Monday would be best. Bgwhite (talk) 08:54, 18 November 2012 (UTC)
You know gambling is a big business, but have you ever thought why people don't bet money on stories of Hollywood films? First they'll spend (waste?) millions of dollars to create few aliens or spaceships or anaconda or dinosaurs or some weirdest animal/creature, the creature will appear on the 5th minute of the film, for next 1 hour 20 minutes it'll be the hero of the film and will do destruction everywhere (that means more and more wastage of money to shoot these scenes), and surprisingly just before the ending of the film abruptly it'll be destroyed/killed by the hero (Egads, total wastage of those millions of dollars which were spent to design and decorate that creature.). It happens in every film. Whatever the film is the end is always predictable! he he he he.. joking.. ignore it...
But, yes, I know a good number of people who think Hollywood films and English films are similar. Explaining from another point of view, you have told me twice about Aishwariya Rai and Katrina Kaif.. but, you actually told about Bollywood, that is not our (the language I speak, Bengali) film industry. Bollywood did not get first academic award, we got it (Bengali film industry, Satyajit Ray). There are at least 10 different film industries in India, Bollywood is one of them. Still I won't be surprised if a European or an American thinks Indian films = Bollywood films.
As I just talked about Satyajit Ray, (academic award winner). Though it is expected that a non native speaker of a language will follow a native speaker's pronunciation, frankly as a non-native speaker of English, I don't try to follow any native English speaker's English pronunciation, If I have to follow someone's pronunciation the person, our own Satyajit Ray, I found his English speaking very clear and stylish. You can see (hear) it here, you don't need to watch the whole video, just first 2-3 minutes the man with white shawl/dress. See that's an Indian speaking English. And did you know, when Ray was given lifetime achievement award, at that time Ray was in his death bed and could not attend the ceremony. The representatives of Oscar committee came to Kolkata and gave Ray the award in the hospital. Ray died after few days. You can see the Oscar speech which he gave lying in the bed of a hospital in Kolkata here (his voice will show his physical weakness) --Tito Dutta (talk) 10:58, 18 November 2012 (UTC)

Most probably, 1) you have to accept nomination now 2) answer the first three questions (some candidates use their sandboxes to prepare answer shields for the RFA question bullets). You can also go ahead and transclude after that! --Tito Dutta (talk) 18:32, 17 November 2012 (UTC)
- Yes, I saw your edit count graphs! Please verify whether I need to change, because I did not say you have been actively editing since 2005, I said, you are editing since 2005 (on and off like everyone else). And being active does not mean 10,000+ edits per month. Last month I spent 6 hours+ per day in Wikipeda and continued this all over the month and had 5500 edits. So, 10,000 edits impossible for me! I don't think anyone will read nominator's arguments, still, f you want I can add a second line that "Bgwhite is actively editing since 2010". - Importance: High
I have just transcluded the page, it's Requests for adminship/Bgwhite. There will be many questions! There is a rule WP:REDACT, generally not too many editor follows it, but, at least in 2 RFA noms I have seen this being questioned. See Question 7 here. You can use your sandbox to prepare answer of your questions! That's all for now. Good wishes! --Tito Dutta (talk) 10:14, 19 November 2012 (UTC)
- Just a quick word of advice: I understand the urge to correct inaccuracies in the oppose rationales (as I did the same thing at my RfA), but keep in mind that you have a lot of supporters already, and those supporters will often be happy to correct the inaccuracies for you, thereby sparing you the risk of appearing to badger the opposition. And as we all know, appearances are quite important at RfA. ‑Scottywong| confer _ 15:07, 20 November 2012 (UTC)
Jeremiah Fraites
I thought he was notable as a songwriter, not a band member. And I think he meets the criteria of Wikipedia:BAND as a songwriter. Let me know your thoughts. Adam sk (talk) 20:40, 19 November 2012 (UTC)
- Except all his songwriting has been for the band. There nothing notable about him outside the band. I just looked at Wesley Schultz and I think he is in the same boat. There are editors I goto for music help, but I don't know any editors for help on notability. I'll ask Michig for advice as they do alot of AfD work with musicians. Bgwhite (talk) 23:01, 19 November 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks. I don't work on pop music articles much, but I sometimes write articles because I look up stuff and can't find it so I assume others feel the same way. So, I don't really have a dog in this fight and will defer to whatever the community thinks. I was just curious and wanted to know their bios.
- Sidenote: I don't mean to imply I don't like your work because as you know, I think you're a good editor and you do really good work. But I do think (and I know it's not totally required), that it's polite to drop a note to a page creator if you're going to delete the page. Adam sk (talk) 23:17, 19 November 2012 (UTC)
- One more sidenote. I don't think my article on Wesley Schultz was particularly interesting, but it has been viewed 2700 times in the five days since I wrote it. I think people are interested. Adam sk (talk) 23:28, 19 November 2012 (UTC)
Generally when articles such as this, i.e. members of notable bands who are really known only for their work with that band, are discussed at WP:AFD, the outcome hinges on how much verifiable information there is about the person that wouldn't be better covered in the article on the band. There are some obvious cases where someone only really known for one band justifies a standalone article, but in a lot of cases there isn't a lot that can be said (and sourced, which is particularly important as these are usually BLP's) that couldn't be covered in the band article. Articles without a lot of verifiable content about activities outside the band are usually merged and redirected the the band article - these people are subjects that our readers may well search for, so a redirect takes them straight to where the information is. In the case of these two articles I think covering both in the band article would be best. I hope that helps. --Michig (talk) 19:51, 20 November 2012 (UTC)

- Actually, I would have opposed if you answered them any other way. You CSD log is 86%. For me, that's too low for a candidate who intends to work in CSDs. Most of your faults were G4 and G12 nominations. When you remove those from the equation, then you reach a sufficient threshold for me to support. Question 11 was for G4 and question 12 was for G12. Your answers alleviated the only serious concern I had, and therefore I support you.—cyberpower ChatOffline 11:42, 25 November 2012 (UTC)
- Sorry to see a few more Oppose votes piling on. Your down to the last 8 hours and its extremely unlikely that you won't get it at this point. You still have over 110 support to 11 Oppose. That's still something to be happy about. Also for what its worth they seem to be digging pretty deep looking for a reason to oppose. Its been my experience when they have to invest the amount of time that Wiley did to come up with percentages on AFD votes, you must be doing a pretty good job. Well now
I see that RfA of yours was successful: congratulations! But I've looked through your recent contributions and don't see a single blocking template place. You know there's a minimum number of blocks you have to place per day, so get on it. Also, you'll find yourself under increased scrutiny, so play nice. Good luck with your new powers, Bgwhite--later! |a&e-work-group=yes
Hi, You are a regular on my watchlist, perhaps because I frequently insert "|a&e-work-group=yes".
Example: Alan Lee (illustrator): Revision history; Talk:Alan Lee (illustrator): Revision history
If I understand your routine Talk edit summary correctly, I should paste both of these lines into a Biography banner, rather than the first line only,
|a&e-work-group=yes
|a&e-priority=
[assign a value such as "low" if that is obvious], and these should replace the unmodified "|priority" line if there is one. Right?
And if I notice a blank "SHORT DESCRIPTION =" line, add a short description that fits "a&e". --P64 (talk) 00:31, 1 December 2012 (UTC)
|priority=
is not a valid parameter inside WikiProject Biography. So yes, do add|a&e-work-group=yes
|a&e-priority=
is appropriate. Other options are|sports-work-group=
,|politician-work-group=
,|filmbio-work-group=
and|musician-work-group=
.- Also, another yes for adding a short description to "SHORT DESCRIPTION =". Bgwhite (talk) 00:57, 1 December 2012 (UTC)

A.C. Greene, Jr.
I appreciate your help. I think it's beginning to take shape. FYI, Rushbugled13 left a note on my talk page saying that he proposed it for deletion. Literary figures are not my forte (I have focused on music, particularly bios of jazzers), but I know beyond a doubt that Greene is highly notable. The problem is that I start articles with a simple frame, then build. Ruchbugled13 may quickly judged it in an earlier stage. — Eurodog (talk) 04:02, 1 December 2012 (UTC)
- It is looking good and you have put ALOT of work into it. I've tried to keep the design within MOS guidelines. I completely understand any frustration you may have with the design. In my first "real" article, an admin kept removing any material I added because of the layout.... grrrr.
- The PROD of Ruchbugled13 was actually a mistake on my part. When I moved the article, I updated any pages that had wikilinks to Greene's article. I missed the one Ruchbugled13 prodded. He did a PROD because the redirect went to the basketball player and not the author.
- Next time, you may want to create the article in your sandbox. That way you can edit the article without anybody (like me) messing with the article until you move it over to mainspace. The Articles for Creation route can be a slow process as there are alot of articles backed up to be looked at. Next time, bug me and I can do any moving if needed. Hey, if you feel like using your new magical powers, Talk:Loire (river) needs to be moved to Talk:Loire. If you don't feel like it, that's okay, as I've already placed a {{db-move}}, so someone will get around to it eventually.... MANdARAX • XAЯAbИAM 09:29, 2 December 2012 (UTC)

Bot errors
Hey, just wanted to let you know that BG19bot created errors on the following two pages: Media in Atlanta and List of portraits in the Centre Block. Just wanted to let you know. — JJJ (say hello) 00:41, 12 December 2012 (UTC)
- Thank you for telling me. Looks like there were errors to begin with and the bot made them noticeable. I haven't a clue why removing small tags around a ref in List of portraits in the Centre Block could cause problems. I went in and removed all the small tags around refs as they shouldn't be there and in case it causes problems later on. Bgwhite (talk) 01:24, 12 December 2012 (UTC)
- The "tags" were considered part of the group name, so instead of simply "n", the group was named "<small>n</small>" [<small>n</small> 1] The bot changed the name to "n" on the refs but not on the {{reflist}}. MANdARAX • XAЯAbИAM 10:19, 12 December 2012 (UTC)
- ^ I believe such a name, unquoted, would not work correctly with a plain old <ref>, but the #tag:ref magic word adds quotation marks to the name. To demonstrate that the "tags" are included in the name, I put quotation marks around the name on the {{reflist}} used to display this note: {{reflist|group="<small>n</small>"}}.
- (talk page stalker) Actually, the
#tag
magic word removes the quotes, it doesn't add them, and uses template logic to get the value rather than XML/HTML-style logic. And note that {{reflist}} uses#tag
internally. So{{#tag:ref||group=foo}}
,{{#tag:ref||group="foo"}}
,{{reflist|group=foo}}
,{{reflist|group="foo"}}
all operate on a group namedfoo
, without quotes.<ref group=foo/>
and<ref group="foo"/>
also use the group namedfoo
. However, quotes are necessary in<ref group="foo bar"/>
(but not in the#tag
versions) due to the space in the group name, and<ref group="<small>n</small>"/>
won't work due to the '>' characters; that would have to be encoded as<ref group="<small>n</small>"/>
. And on the other hand,<ref group="foo|bar"/>
works fine, but you need something like{{#tag:ref||group=foo{{!}}bar}}
so the '|' doesn't separate template arguments. Anomie⚔ 12:40, 12 December 2012 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker) Actually, the
Another article : Théophile Hamel — JJJ (say hello) 02:09, 13 December 2012 (UTC)
- Instead of blindly reverting the edit and calling it an "incorrect bot edit", please fix the underlying cause... Nobody should be using <small>tags or any other tags as part of a name for a reference. Any bot will just do the same thing again. Bgwhite (talk) 05:56, 13 December 2012 (UTC)
- I just did a database scan and there were a total of 15 articles. All 15 now have {{reflist|group="<small>n</small>"}} fixed. Bgwhite (talk) 06:44, 13 December 2012 (UTC)

Request reconsideration of article
The David Gandy article has been flagged for several issues. From what I've surmised, a contributor with apparent COI used flowery language which was not impartial in POV. Over the past couple of months, several contributors (myself included) have neutralized the tone, re-worked the text and improved the sourcing. I would appreciate your taking a look at it--with feedback/suggestions in order to have it reconsidered. Thanks for your help! SchoolMarm101 (talk) 02:31, 5 December 2012 (UTC)
- I did remove most of the tags.
- I did delete some stuff and move some others around. I left why I did it in the edit comments. If you have more questions, please ask.
- The reference style really needs to be changed. It is a very unusual style and I haven't seen it before. I did change the first ~5 references to a common format. You can use those as a template.
- It still is too adverty for my tastes and most of the problems are in the "Other Endeavours" section. For example, "Gandy was the first male model ever interviewed on Friday Night with Jonathan Ross". "first male model" is no big deal... same goes for "first female model", "first actor" or "first French citizen". Another example would be " it was reported he had begun an acting". Things should be based on "facts" and not "reported to be". Also it should be what he has done and not what might be. If filming has started, then say something like, "Gandy has taken on his first acting job in the short film "Away We Stay" with Helena Christensen" Bgwhite (talk) 07:06, 5 December 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks for the changes and suggestions on David Gandy. Please check the source codes once again when you have a few minutes. I used your revised source #4 as my template, THEN realized that you had used a slightly different format for source #3. I'm not sure if the difference is significant (please forgive my ignorance). One of the things that makes this man "relevant" among male models is the barriers he is breaking in a female-dominated industry (modelling). That is why I left the references to "first male model" in a couple of places. IMO, the "first" or "only" of something is generally noteworthy--just as largest, smallest, fastest, tallest, etc are noteworthy. For example, there have been many lovely ladies on the cover of Sports Illustrated's Swimsuit Edition. It's relevant that Tyra Banks was the "first" black model on their cover. Make sense? *Stepping off the soap box now* Thanks again for your help. SchoolMarm101 (talk) 04:55, 6 December 2012 (UTC)
- Ref #2 is for a book. Ref #3 is for a newspaper. Ref #4 is for a website. Each one has slightly different parameters, but more importantly, the will bold or italicise different parts of the reference. I've got them memorized by now, but others (ie journal) I don't. Wikipedia:Citation templates is where I go to figure things out.
- Ref #7 is a good example. It is not showing up correctly because you used "cite web" with an invalid parameter "magazine". You need to use Template:Cite journal. It is confusing to begin with, but there is method to the madness. It certainly is alot beter than remembering where to manually place the bolds or italics.
- I understand what you are saying about "first male model". There are some "big" area's where being first is notable, the Tyra Banks example being one. Being the first male model on the cover of Sport's Illustrated Swimsuit issue or Page three of the Sun would be notable. Being first on the "Friday Night with Jonathan Ross" just isn't. notable. The king of talk shows, Johnny Carson, still wouldn't be notable for the first male model to have appeared ( or "first female model", "first actor" or "first French citizen"). There is a time/place to these things.... first female in space is notable, first female PM is notable, but the first female to own a pub is not notable. So if Gandy was the first male model to do something in the modeling world, it maybe notable. Being the first male model to do something outside the modeling world probably is not notable. Another one is being a "guest editor of their Men's Issue" is not notable. Being a regular contributor to Vogue is notable. Bgwhite (talk) 06:46, 6 December 2012 (UTC)
Regarding David Gandy: There's nothing like a page of citation templates to make a reasonably intelligent woman feel inadequate! Still, I gave it my best effort. Please check the citations to see if they are correct now. SchoolMarm101 (talk) 02:25, 10 December 2012 (UTC)
- Not to mention that the article implies that he is built like Dwayne Johnson. The guy is skinny!!! If he's considered built in the modelling world they must all be built like twigs!!♦ Dr. ☠ Blofeld 21:55, 13 December 2012 (UTC)

Thank you for clarifying the "punctuation before references" style correction in the Kadmon Pharmaceuticals article. Unfortunately the General Fixes bot requires an editor to have a least 500 edits in the article namespace before permission will be granted. From the description it sounds like it really cuts time by automatically fixing a lot of tedious formatting. Blue Riband► 23:04, 16 December 2012 (UTC)

WP:CHECKWIKI error fix #34
Something is going wrong somewhere. If you look at Border Counties Bridge you will see that this started as:
| coordinates = {{Coord| {{{lat}}} | {{{long}}} |region:BG_type:landmark|display=inline,title }}
and was then changed twice:
| coordinates = {{Coord| {{{lat}}} | {{{very long|date=July 2012}}}
(copyedit, clarity edits, MOS implementation, and/or AWB general fixes using AWB (8097))
| coordinates = {{Coord| | date=July 2012 |region:BG_type:landmark|display=inline,title }}
(WP:CHECKWIKI error fix #34.)
{{{lat}}} | {{{long}}} are shorthand for latitude and longtitude. Can you repair this? Twiceuponatime (talk) 09:45, 17 December 2012 (UTC)
- There are a couple of problems going on.
- Either use
|coordinates=
or|lat=
&|lon=
. You don't use both. - Parameters (ie {{{lat}}}) shouldn't be used in articles.
- If I understand correctly, using {{{lat}}} in the infobox doesn't do anything in this case.
- Either use
- I edited the article to only use
|coordinates=
. Also it is region:GB_type and not region:BG_type. (GB for Great Britain). Bgwhite (talk) 18:49, 17 December 2012 (UTC)
IN RE: PROD for Charles Hopel Brown
Hi. I created the article but User:Charles H. Brown rv your PROD notice. I didn't do so. However, I think there is a case for notability. Perhaps an AFD would be better so as to hear from our peers. Yours, Quis separabit? 16:42, 17 December 2012 (UTC)
- I have been keeping an eye on the article to see what was added. My goal was to go over it later today for a possible AfD. I added the prod because a person with no reliable refs, who's claim to fame is a self-published book, is not notable. Having the person editing his own article doesn't help either. I have a look later today. Bgwhite (talk) 18:13, 17 December 2012 (UTC)
- I've gone over it and cleaned up the refs. I wish he didn't have such a common name. So, the sum total is two newspaper articles and a self-published book. This is a borderline case. It's also not helping that Brown keeps editing his own article. I'll wait some more in hopes of more refs popping up. Bgwhite (talk) 06:12, 18 December 2012 (UTC)
