I think that the definition needs to clarify what celluloid is in order to provide context. Raskolnikov2 (talk) 03:46, 23 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

You need a citation for the statistics offered in the "Employment" section. Raskolnikov2 (talk) 03:46, 23 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Another potential source of information for your article is the film "Miss Representation." It talks a lot about women in the film industry, and is available in the JFK library. Raskolnikov2 (talk) 03:46, 23 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I think the word preserving should be changed to preserve "...potential within the global entertainment, communications and media industries and to preserving the legacy of women..."CherryBerry1727 (talk) 21:36, 30 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

It seems as if it would flow better if you used descriptions in your own words with the citation instead of quoting the definitions of the variations organizations. CherryBerry1727 (talk) 21:41, 30 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I agree that "Miss Representation" would be a helpful source to include, as well as looking at "Killing Us Softly", and "Dream Worlds". All of which touch of the representation of women in film, music and advertising. All of these will play into the concept of film because the crew often look for what sells. This article is well written and well organized. I'd like to see more information, if possible, in the beginning about the scope of the celluloid ceiling and efforts to crack it. For example, it isn't just directors, but a dearth of women in all aspects of creative production in Hollywood -- producers, writers, directors, set designers, editors, etc.

Also, I think the list of notable women filmmakers should be a separate section from Employment - possible title, Notable Women in Film or Notable Women Filmmakers. If asked, can you defend your selection of notable women?

Another possible organization to consider for list of Advocacy organizations - the Geena Davis Institute on Gender & Media - http://www.thegeenadavisinstitute.org/
