Welcome

[edit]

Hello, Bettyhuu and welcome to Wikipedia! It appears you are participating in a class project. If you haven't done so already, we encourage you to go through our training for students. Go through our online training for students

If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Please also read this helpful advice for students.

Before you create an article, make sure you understand what kind of articles are accepted here. Remember: Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and while many topics are encyclopedic, some things are not.

Your instructor or professor may wish to set up a course page, and if your class doesn't already have one please tell your instructor about that. It is highly recommended that you place this text: {{Educational assignment}} on the talk page of any articles you are working on as part of your Wikipedia-related course assignment. This will let other editors know this article is a subject of an educational assignment and aid your communication with them.

We hope you like it here and encourage you to stay even after your assignment is finished! Laber□T 03:10, 2 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Final Topic Selection

[edit]

Articles considered: https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Amine_gas_treating https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Ionic_liquid https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Membrane_technology

Amine gas treating was selected as the final page for the project because it seems the least expanded upon. The page could mention a bit more about how the technology has made a significant impact in carbon capture discussions and assessments. The following bibliography lists some potential sources for expansion on amine gas treating.

Betty, great start! please check the bcourse page for some additional literature suggestions, such as the papers by Gary Rochelle's group at UT Austin, and I'd like you to research several articles from 2010 or later. Mswent (talk) 05:04, 16 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Hi again Betty, I apologize for the confusion but actually the topics of amine gas treating, ionic liquids, and membrane technologies were all previously requested by other groups (as well as calcium looping.) You will need to select another topic area with your group. Let me know if you'd like suggestions. Mswent (talk) 05:33, 16 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
