Hello, I'm Gtwfan52. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Edgerton, Missouri, but you didn't provide a reliable source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks, Gtwfan52 (talk) 05:03, 19 August 2012 (UTC) If you read the Wikipedia page for Jim Davis you would see that the information is already there. I was trying to create a link between the two pages. But please, leave the information out for Edgerton, Missouri, god knows I don't want to be unrealiable using your own information.[reply]

I am sorry if you took offense at the above informational template. Actually, Wikipedia is not considered a reliable reference, but if you want to show a link to a wikipedia article, you would do it by enclosing the article title in double brackets, like this: [[Jim Davis (actor)]]. If you want the link to appear in your text as anything other than the article title, then you follow the title by a pipe and what you want to appear like this [[Jim Davis (actor)|Jim Davis]]. All the detail you added doesn't belong in an article about a city and none of it was appropriate for a section titled "Demographics". I started a new section titled "Notable People" and added Mr. Davis to that. If you know of any other people that either were born in or lived in Edgerton, feel free to add them. Keep in mind that they must be notable enough to have a Wikipedia article on them. If you wish to contribute to Wikipedia and need any help with the technical stuff, feel free to ask me here. Please know that no-one was trying to pick on you or single you out. Wikipedia is a group effort and edits get revised or reversed all the time. Gtwfan52 (talk) 06:30, 19 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
