I was wondering - isn't it a big problem that anyone can just edit or even delete long texts that have been written by someone else with care?
- It seems you just pasted the code from the above message. You need to use the code as it appears on the page for it to work.
- As for your question, that's where reverting comes in. Each version of the article is kept in the history, making reverting vandalism easy. And if someone puts in legit edits without fixing or noticing the vandalism, version comparison makes it easy to remove the bad stuff while leaving the good stuff in. Hi. I was just looking at Special:Recentchanges and your article caught my eye. Only after opening the page did I notice the misspelled title. So it will probably be a good article, but you will want to figure out how to 'move' the article to the correct name/title. (I wonder why nobody thought to write the article before?) Shenme 19:17, 15 April 2006 (UTC) Oh! Well, you already moved it. Great!
Disorganized Crime
[edit]Feel free to edit the article. My mistake! ♥ Her Pegship♥ 19:19, 8 June 2006 (UTC)
Re:incredible
[edit]I use the page Special:Newpages to see what articles have just been published, and go through them to see if they need editing. Thanks for the message! --Gray Porpoise 13:23, 9 September 2006 (UTC)
Unspecified source for Image:Disorganized-crime-poster.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Disorganized-crime-poster.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. YellowDot 01:06, 5 October 2006 (UTC)
Advertising "Teaching Materials" in external links
[edit]Hi, Could you please remove the advertisments you posted in numerous articles, linking to non-free "Teaching Material"? While I appreciate your contributions to wikipedia and have nothing against you selling your Teaching Material online, I don't think the two should mix. It is one of the top rules in wikipedia not to advertise your own services. This practice clutters up articles and does not add any information. If you want to spread the word about your offer, use another service, one that has been specifically designed for your needs, like http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/ .grovel 13:10, 16 January 2007 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. The article Nothing's Too Much Trouble has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
No evidence this sketch is particularly memorable.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. PatGallacher (talk) 16:45, 28 October 2017 (UTC)
