Greenhouse gas and climate change

[edit]

Hello Bernard,

Thanks for writing Draft:Greenhouse gas emissions by Ghana. I see Ghana has been actively reporting

https://unfccc.int/reports?f%5B0%5D=corporate_author%3A129 and will do a Biennial Transparency Report in December.

Rather than having a separate article, which would be rather small, could you possible update Climate change in Ghana#Greenhouse gas emissions ?

Any questions please ask, for example at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Climate change Chidgk1 (talk) 14:03, 13 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

That will be a good idea, but if you watch the trend, there are some major countries in the globe that contribute to greenhouse gas such as India and United States. They all have a separate page for Climate Change and Greenhouse gas emissions, including Turkey. And i think Ghana as part of the first 10 contributers in Africa, also deserves the chance to talk about their emissions and some of the federal policies taken by the government in a single article.
Thank you. Bernard Opoku 1234 (talk) 10:51, 15 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Well I did not reject your draft, but I have to say that creating a completely new article is one of the most difficult tasks on Wikipedia. And some have argued that the Turkey pages (which I edit quite a lot) should be merged. I hope the government here in Turkey might one day reduce our emissions down to the level of Ghana, but unfortunately we are way off track for our 2053 net zero target.
