what?

[edit]

"16:53, 24 April 2007 Beorhtric (Talk | contribs) (5,351 bytes) (I don't agree it is unfortunate that the skateboarders will have to go elsewhere)" So your disagreement with an element of society warrants any reference to and for them removed? Please remember people come to Wikipedia for information, not your agenda or short sighted opinion. In the future perhaps you should stick to adding that which you know, and not arbitrarily deleting references to things you dislike.

I was quite correct to remove it. Personal opinions have no place in Wikipedia articles. I did not express an opinion, I removed one. If you want to express your personal opinions on the internet, the appropriate place to do so is a web forum, not a wikipedia article. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a blog. Re: Inexplicable deletion of information

[edit]

Could you please explain your deletion of essential information from Cardington, Bedfordshire, as you made no attempt to do so at the time. I live within a few miles of Cardington, and Shortstown, and I consider the information I added essential to clear up issues that confuse even some of us locals. I note that you live in Gloucestershire, so it is quite unlikely that you have expertise on village san parishes in Bedfordshire. Thank you. Beorhtric 17:00, 19 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This edit was to correct the title case of the section and my error was to also revert content that you added. I have corrected this now, thank you for the heads up. I used to live in Bedford and did so for fifteen years, so I do know about the areas in question! Remember to assume good faith on the part of other editors. All good contributors will respond to polite enquiries in a like manner! Regards, (aeropagitica) 17:05, 19 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I consider your inferences that I was impolite and did not assume good faith to be unwarranted, and i the light of this treatment, I may stop contributing to wikipedia. Beorhtric 17:17, 19 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think that there is any need to over-react or to leave the project. Words on a screen can be taken in any number of ways, unlike a spoken or face-to-face conversation. I didn't mean to imply abuse on either of our parts. It would be a shame if you stopped contributing with local knowledge as that can substantially improve an article. Pubs

[edit]

Hi, I've noticed you've done quite a bit of work on categorising pubs...I'm thinking of doing some work on this too, possibly heading towards doing a full-blown Wikiproject - would you be interested in collaborating? Paulbrock 18:56, 29 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Invite

[edit]

Hi, just a quick note to ask if you would be interested in joining WikiProject Bedfordshire? I see you've recently been making some valuable contributions to Bedfordshire articles and your input would be most welcome. --Starrycupz 20:22, 29 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I noticed you voted concerning

  • Category:Cities, towns and villages in the Palestinian territories
  • Category:Buildings and structures in the Palestinian territories

But it seems you overlooked voting on

  • Category:Geography of the Palestinian territories

Here is the link to the category discussion for those 3 categories:

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Category:Music schools in Cyprus, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Category:Music schools in Cyprus has been empty for at least four days, and its only content has been links to parent categories. (CSD C1).

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Category:Music schools in Cyprus, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
