I've added the "{{prod}}" template to the article List of agency management software, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree with the notice, discuss the issues at Talk:List of agency management software. You may remove the deletion notice, and the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached, or if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria. A tag has been placed on Copper Project, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of the article and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Corvus cornixtalk 00:12, 7 December 2007 (UTC)

I have nominated Element Software, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Element Software. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. TexasAndroid (talk) 17:05, 6 June 2009 (UTC)

This account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia because your username, Elementsoftware, does not meet our username policy.

Your username is the only reason for this block. You are welcome to choose a new username (see below).

A username should not be promotional, related to a "real-world" group or organization, misleading, offensive, or disruptive. Also, usernames may not end in the word "bot" unless the account is an approved bot account

You are encouraged to choose a new account name that meets our policy guidelines. Alternatively, if you have already made edits and you wish to keep your existing contributions under a new name, then you may request a change in username by:

  1. Adding {{unblock-un|your new username here}} on your user talk page. You should be able to do this even though you are blocked, as you can usually still edit your own talk page. If not, you may wish to contact the blocking administrator by clicking on "E-mail this user" on their talk page.
  2. At an administrator's discretion, you may be unblocked for 24 hours to file a request.
  3. Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names. The account is created upon acceptance, thus do not try to create the new account before making the request for a name change. For more information, please see Wikipedia:Changing username.
If you feel that you were blocked in error, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|Your reason here}}, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first.

Allowing username change to requested username. Please put this request in at Wikipedia:Changing username as soon as possible to avoid re-blocking. Kuru (talk) 14:05, 4 January 2011 (UTC)

Here are a few key questions:

You are currently blocked because your username appears directly related to a company, group or product that you have been promoting, contrary to the username policy. Changing the username will not allow you to violate the 3 important principles above. --jpgordon::==( o ) 23:35, 2 January 2011 (UTC)

Hi Jpgordon, Yes I do understand and appreciate these policies, I just wanted to abide by all of the Wikipedia guidelines. Copper Project is a most notable PM software product, as referenced by the many reviews and articles dedicated to this popular tool, thus my request for a username that didn't violate the username policy. There is very little difference to many of the software products listed at http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Comparison_of_project_management_software and I wanted to have Wiki reflect an accurate page, nothing more. If you could please unblock and rename my username that would be great, I have intentions of providing further content pertaining to effective Project Management, being a recognized expert in the field.
I've unblocked you for now; please use the directions above to change your name before making any other edits. Please be very careful when editing or adding any further information on projects that you have a significant conflict of interest in; further edits that appear promotional will result in blocks without warning. It may be a better idea to focus on general project management topics for now; God knows they need help.  :) Kuru (talk) 14:05, 4 January 2011 (UTC)

Thanks Kuru, I'll definitely do that! Benprendergast (talk) 01:32, 7 January 2011 (UTC)
