Citing journals etc.
[edit]Hey Ben, sorry to revert you in citing a journal - a somewhat cumbersome but professional-looking way to do it is using Template:Cite journal (there is also Template:Cite book etc.) - this also comes up if you click the {{}} in the editing tools above the editing screen. It'll be necessary to get the article to Good Status. Any questions just ask. Cheers, Casliber (talk · contribs) 18:56, 25 April 2011 (UTC)
- hi! thanks for your advice. i'll change it slowly by surely! do gimme some tiime to get a hang of everything first!:) cheers
Another thing...
[edit]Some light reading for you, over the years wikipedia has adopted some rules for making pages look uniform - and hence this has become the Wikipedia:Manual of Style, which is...erm...very big. Feel free to ask questions about it. Cheers, Casliber (talk · contribs) 00:59, 4 May 2011 (UTC)
Tips to monitor changes
[edit]Ah, ok, I'll take a back seat for now - you get used to it, don't worry. An easy way of monitoring changes is like this:
Click the "History" tab above and the page should look like this:
One can easily compare changes as one goes like this. Click "compare selected revisions"
(will look like this)
The talk page is where we can jot notes such as tasks to do etc.See [[1]]. I posted some journal articles to chase. Several of us with university access can get fulltexts.
I'll leave it to you and just let me know when you want someone to take a look at it - we'll let you know when it has a good cahnce of passing WP:GAN. Casliber (talk · contribs) 01:22, 4 May 2011 (UTC)
- thanks!!!! :) i really appreciate it. you have been really helpful! cheers, ben.
American White Ibis update
[edit]Now one reviewer has been busy/occupied/delayed, and another has stepped i - I think I've done everything asked now so we're sorta waiting for more input from reviewers before (fingers crossed) it passes....just keep watching the Review page and see what is thrown up. If I get any ideas I will let you know. I did quite a bit of copyediting, but these things grow by collaboration :) Cheers, Casliber (talk · contribs) 01:59, 29 August 2011 (UTC)

Incomplete DYK nomination
[edit]Hello! Your submission of Template:Did you know nominations/Gender disparities in health at the Did You Know nominations page is not complete; see step 3 of the nomination procedure. If you do not want to continue with the nomination, tag the nomination page with {{db-g7}}, or ask a DYK admin. Thank you. DYKHousekeepingBot (talk) 09:27, 19 April 2013 (UTC)
Withdrawing your DYK nomination
[edit]Benongyx, the proper way to withdraw a DYK nomination is to simply say you wish to do so on the nomination template. We will be happy to take care of the rest. What you should not do is remove the template transclusion from the nominations page, or try to delete the template. That's only for nominations were created in error, or that have otherwise not yet been submitted. Please post your wishes in the matter to Template:Did you know nominations/Gender disparities in health. Thank you. BlueMoonset (talk) 14:25, 21 April 2013 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for April 26
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Gender disparities in health, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Depression and Kangra (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

June 2023
[edit]{{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}
.signed, Rosguill talk 01:08, 3 June 2023 (UTC)- I have blocked but not locked at this time, as there are some possible explanations other than a compromised account in this scenario. Please proceed with an unblock request as explained above, and be sure to explain your sudden interest in Wavemaker Group and whether you have any WP:COI with them. signed, Rosguill talk 01:13, 3 June 2023 (UTC)

Request reason:
I am currently an employee with Wavemaker Group. Recently joined one of the funds under the group. Looking to pick-up wikipedia contribution after a long hiatus. Decided to add a page for the organisation given that it is one of the top Venture Capital firms in South-East Asia (https://www.alphajwc.com/en/2021-best-list-of-the-most-active-venture-capital-in-southeast-asia/) Not paid to do it. Intention is to fill the page with only objective sources. Happy to remove the page and/or avoid contribution.Benongyx (talk) 10:00, 7 June 2023 (UTC)
Accept reason:
The concerns about this account being compromised are resolved, so I will remove the block. You will need to make the paid editing disclosure if you intend to further contribute about Wavemaker Group- please also read about how to handle a conflict of interest. 331dot (talk) 17:13, 7 June 2023 (UTC)
If you are an employee, you are a paid editor, you do not have to be specifically paid to make edits. 331dot (talk) 14:49, 7 June 2023 (UTC)
You will need to make a paid editing disclosure and read about conflict of interest. Rosguill, this seems plausible to me, does this resolve your concerns about their account? 331dot (talk) 14:52, 7 June 2023 (UTC)
- Hello. Thank you for the clarification. Noted on the requirements. That said, the page has since been removed by the community. Given the clarification, happy to not re-create the page or make any further contributions before making any disclosure. Have also read the "conflict of interest" page as well. Hope that my account can be unblocked so I can make future contributions. Thank you! Benongyx (talk) 14:58, 7 June 2023 (UTC)
- @331dot no further concerns as far as the compromised account worry goes. signed, Rosguill talk 17:08, 7 June 2023 (UTC)
