[edit]
There have been two problems with this account: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group or a web site, which is also against policy, as an account must be for just one person. Because of those problems, the account has been blocked indefinitely from editing. Additionally, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for your contributions to Wikipedia, you must disclose who is paying you to edit.

If you intend to make useful contributions about some topic other than your business or organisation, you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In that reason, you must:

  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block. To do so, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page, replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason for thinking that the block was an error, and publish the page. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 20:17, 25 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

We created the account Benchmark Fiduciary Services in order to create a page for the business Benchmark Fiduciary Services. This way, one of the office computers IP's are not publicly displayed to then be targeted by digital attacks. This was not created as a promotional advertisement, but as a factual page demonstrating that Benchmark Fiduciary Services exists, and the services they provide. Please unblock our account and IP so we can exist in your servers to demonstrate our actual existence.

Decline reason:

What we are telling you is that will not be permitted. It is not permitted to use Wikipedia for promotional purposes such as telling the world about your business or that it exists. Wikipedia articles must do more, they must indicate with independent reliable sources how your company meets Wikipedia's special definition of a notable company. Wikipedia has no interest in helping you spread the word about your business, or in what your computers display in your office. Please review conflict of interest and paid editing, two policies you have violated. You also have not proposed a new username as instructed in the block notice, as business names as a username are not permitted per the username policy. You will also need to select a single individual to exclusively operate this account. If that individual wants to be a general, individual Wikipedia contributor, they will need to agree to not edit about Benchmark Fiduciary Services or anything related to your conflict of interest, and tell what you will edit about instead. If you have no interest in being a general contributor and just want to tell the world about your business, you will not be unblocked, and should consider alternative forums where what you want to do is permitted. I am declining your request. 331dot (talk) 20:58, 25 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

  1. We require organizations to be notable according to Wikipedia's standards of notability - existence alone is not sufficient grounds for inclusion.
  2. Wanting to tell the world about your existence is considered publicity, which is not allowed. Wikipedia makes no distinction between for-profit businesses and non-profit organizations in this regard. Even if your organization does good work, Wikipedia isn't here to tell the world about noble causes.
  3. Wikipedia is not interested in what an organization wants to say about itself. Readers expect neutral articles, written independently of their subject and sourced reliably. This is will be very difficult for you as it is an inherent conflict of interest to write about your own organization.
  4. Wikipedia's username policy explicitly disallows accounts to be named after organizations. You will need to select a new username that denotes you as an individual (e.g. "John at Benchmark Fudiciary") and shows that the account is not being shared amongst several people.

A tag has been placed on your user page, User:Benchmark Fiduciary Services/sandbox, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be advertising which only promotes or publicises someone or something. Promotional editing of any kind is not permitted, whether it be promotion of a person, company, product, group, service, belief, or anything else. This is a violation of our policies regarding acceptable use of user pages — user pages are intended for active editors of Wikipedia to communicate with one another as part of the process of creating encyclopedic content, and should not be mistaken for free webhosting resources or advertising space. Please read the guidelines on spam, the guidelines on user pages, and, especially, our FAQ for Organizations.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. We unfortunately will have to wait, or waste our time convincing sources for publication, in order to have Wikipedia acknowledge our existence as a wonderful non-profit. Quite a shame we have to waste time and efforts in unhelpful manners in order to have a wikipedia entry.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Benchmark Fiduciary Services (talkcontribs)

If you convince sources to write about you, those would not be independent sources. Sources have to cover you on their own, without prompting. No person or entity is entitled to a Wikipedia article. Even if your company is written about in independent sources, you shouldn't be the one to write about it due to your conflict of interest.
