So this is a start. First, it would help to define debt restructuring. Second, it would help to discuss why scholars think it's important. And finally, it would help to identify how debt-restructuring has changed over time.Cassell04 (talk) 13:57, 1 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi BenRininger. As you move forward developing this article, remember that you are expanding the debt restructuring article. So don't duplicate what's already there. You can rework what's there to improve phrasing and sourcing, or otherwise make it better. You can add information that's missing. You can add better sources. But remember that article is your starting point.

As far as sources go, the two you listed here aren't great. Investopedia is at best a borderline source, and you should really strive to find better ones. JDSupra appears to be a marketing site. It isn't a place where you'd find the kind of scholarly sourcing you'd want to use in a Wikipedia article. Ian (Wiki Ed) (talk) 21:43, 2 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Ian! A couple of things... So, my actual proposed edits to this article are in my main sandbox, not my debt restructuring sandbox, although I can copy and paste them here. I will make sure not to repeat any information that is not in the existing article as I move toward more advanced drafts, and I will look for new sources. Thanks for the feedback! -Ben — Preceding unsigned comment added by BenRininger (talkcontribs) 23:13, 2 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Ben! Overall, I think you've done a good job making a topic I didn't expect to enjoy hearing about interesting. I only have a couple recommendations that haven't already been covered by Ian or Dr. Cassell. Firstly, I noticed that your draft is a bit jargon-heavy. I would recommend trying to simplify your sentence structure and word choice a bit if possible and making sure that any economics terms you use that the average person wouldn't know are defined earlier in the article. My only other recommendations would be to watch out for small errors like grammar and typos. It wasn't enough to be distracting but I noticed a few things like missing commas so just keep an eye out for that. SturrFry (talk) 11:33, 14 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
