Just curious what your issue is with taking away my source for the photograph on this article. I clearly cited a source that proves that kid is NOT his son. Why do you keep changing it back to that -- it is completely incorrect!

The kid in the photo with Dennis Haskins is his son, Dustin. He has mentioned that his son looks kind of like a young Zack Morris in radio interviews. If you really think that isn't his kid, then end this dispute and crop the kid out of the image. If he has no relation to Dennis Haskins, his picture shouldn't be on the Dennis Haskins Wikipedia entry.Beldingfan 05:57, 23 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I wasn't the person who uploaded the photograph in the first place -- I just wanted to try to keep the false information to a minimum. I changed the photo to one of his head shots. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 812x11 (talkcontribs) 14:11, 23 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Also, I did a search on facebook for that guy's name (Bret Crafton) and there's a picture of him there as well. Whoever was in that photo was not named Dustin. 812x11 14:13, 23 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I searched bret crafton and the same picture comes up. However, if you click the link and enter the link into the browser, it is a completely different picture. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 192.223.226.5 (talk) 14:20, 25 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Dustin Diamond filmography

[edit]

Regarding your edit summary at the Dustin Diamond article, I did in fact "do my research" before I deleted the filmography and re-added the roles. In an effort to clean up an article that is already a mess, I streamlined the filmography to roles he had as an ACTOR. Filmographies typically note the roles an actor played, not the ones he appeared as himself in. Unless the actor only pops up as himself in films or television shows and has had no other roles aside from that, those roles are typically left out. Since Diamond is in fact and actor first and foremost, that is why I removed the reality show appearances. As far as a few of the other credits you added (such as Troll and From Justin to Kelly) where exactly are those roles coming from? I used IMDb as my guide and those are not listed there. I'm not saying they're wrong, but I'm a bit perplexed as to where those credits came from. I do not have an issue with the reality shows or even the cameo appearances being added, but I think they should at least match the formula that is already in use. In the future, it might be wise to assume good faith when it comes to other editor's edits. I do not vandalize articles and if a bold edit rubs you the wrong way, I suggest you approach the editor in question first before slinging the word vandal around. Some people actually get irritated by that accusation. Pinkadelica 07:47, 29 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Dustin Diamond

[edit]

First off, removing a link you want included (despite it being against WP:EL) doesn't constitute as vandalism in any sense of the word. Get that right. If you can't remember to assume good faith or to be civil, I suggest you click on those links I thoughtfully provided and familiarize yourself with policy before you go off on a tangent. That being said, a fan blog is not considered acceptable by Wikipedia standards no matter what it includes. If you have issue with Wikipedia's external link policy, I suggest you post your query on the many, many avaliable boards where you can air your grievances. My talk page is not one of those places. Since I removed that link 15 days ago, you should probably be bitching to XLinkBot, who was actually the last "person" to remove the link because it's blacklisted. In other words, it's going to keep getting removed either manually or by a bot because it violates policy. Take the hint and leave it out. Lastly, I didn't add the image to the article nor do I care about it so why are you bringing this complaint to me? If you have issue with it, contact the person who uploaded it or contact an administrator who has the patience to deal with your complaints. I watch the article for one reason; BLP violations which is actually a wee bit more serious than a blog being removed or a picture you don't care for.
