(edit conflict) - The page Help:Table should help you a lot with your question, too. Now for your question:
To make a table, click 'Advanced' in the edit toolbar, then click , or if you are using the Monobook skin, click . The following markup will appear:

{| class="wikitable"
|-
! Header 1
! Header 2
! Header 3
|-
| row 1, cell 1
| row 1, cell 2
| row 1, cell 3
|-
| row 2, cell 1
| row 2, cell 2
| row 2, cell 3
|-
| row 3, cell 1
| row 3, cell 2
| row 3, cell 3
|}

That is pretty much self-explanatory. Now for the fun part:
Help:Table#Setting column widths: To set column widths, add
scope="col" width="Column width in pixels" |
before the header name, like this:

{| class="wikitable"
|-
! scope="col" width="50" | Header 1
! scope="col" width="150" | Header 2
! scope="col" width="225" | Header 3
|-
| row 1, cell 1
| row 1, cell 2
| row 1, cell 3
|-
| row 2, cell 1
| row 2, cell 2
| row 2, cell 3
|-
| row 3, cell 1
| row 3, cell 2
| row 3, cell 3
|}

Which will produce

Header 1 Header 2 Header 3
row 1, cell 1 row 1, cell 2 row 1, cell 3
row 2, cell 1 row 2, cell 2 row 2, cell 3
row 3, cell 1 row 3, cell 2 row 3, cell 3

Help:Table#Color; scope of parameters: To set the background color (e.g. blue) and text color (e.g. white) for a single cell, add
style="background: blue; color: white" |
before the text in that cell, and for a single row, add
style="background: blue; color: white"
right after the |-. Also, to align text in a cell as 'center', add align="center". For example:

{| class="wikitable"
|-
! Header 1
! Header 2
! Header 3
|-
| row 1, cell 1
| style="background: pink; color: black" align="center" | row 1, cell 2
| style="background: green; color: white" | row 1, cell 3
|-
| row 2, cell 1, example text
| row 2, cell 2, example text
| row 2, cell 3, example text
|- style="background: blue; color: white" align="center"
| row 3, cell 1
| row 3, cell 2
| row 3, cell 3
|}

Which will produce:

Header 1 Header 2 Header 3
row 1, cell 1 row 1, cell 2 row 1, cell 3
row 2, cell 1, example text row 2, cell 2, example text row 2, cell 3, example text
row 3, cell 1 row 3, cell 2 row 3, cell 3

Note that there is no way to have several Header cells in a single column. Header cells have to be in a single row at the top of the table, as far as I know. Also, it is not possible to have a single header cell at the top, with multiple columns below, unless you put a table in a table (see Help:Table#Mélange), however, the use of this is discouraged.

If you have any more questions just ask here or on my talk page. Thanks, Samwb123T-C-E 19:25, 23 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Russia national rugby union team, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Sergey Sergeev (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi Beknow, you keep reverting my deletion of the flags in the infobox. Per MOS:FLAGS they do not belong there. I don't understand why you are reverting the changes. Regards Mattlore (talk) 19:16, 31 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Can you show me the reference for the line-up for Golden Lions. More for curiosity than to reference the article. Rugby.change (talk) 18:40, 3 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Fumiaki Tanaka may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s. If you have, don't worry, just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

Flags in infoboxes

[edit]

Please stop adding the {{ru}} template to rugby players' inboxes. There is no need for the flag to be there, so please just use a plain link to the national team article. – PeeJay 00:02, 1 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know if you're incapable of comprehending me or if you're just choosing not to, but I have told you already to stop conflating Stephen Jones' spells with Llanelli RFC and with the Scarlets. They are separate clubs and players' stats for each should not be merged. If you revert me again, I will report you to an admin. – PeeJay 20:19, 19 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Correct, PeeJay.
I shall support you if required.  –
