Okay. I'll dig deeper for sources that will work. I deleted some of the bio stuff, worrying it was too promotional since it is mostly about this person's career as a performer. I will expand on the academic side of his biography. May I use his personal website as a source for that? I'll keep trying. I am learning a lot. Beingherenow2 (talk) 21:53, 5 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Help me!

[edit]

Please help me with... Brian Seeger I need guidance on why there has been no action on my draft of this article. I have done research on other similar articles and modeled my draft on those to make sure I would be in compliance. Is there a person I can call to talk to about this particular article? Beingherenow2 (talk) 18:14, 10 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

You may wish to ask at the articles-for-creation help desk. You may not use the {{help}} template to expedite a review.
I'm afraid using other existing articles as models is often unhelpful; many are not necessarily good examples of what is or is not in compliance, nor does their existence indicate that they have been reviewed and found to be "in compliance".
The most recent submit was just a few days ago and the AFC backlog is (admittedly this is terrible) as much as 3 months. One suggestion I have is to aim for academic notability - for more about this see WP:NACADEMICS - but you'll still need to find some coverage that helps substantiate that notability claim. More third party sources that represent independent reporting about him is always helpful. Citing his own website is usually not helpful, but allowances are sometimes made for academics. — jmcgnh(talk) (contribs) 18:50, 10 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
