MILGEM project

[edit]

As the page refers to more than just the corvettes, the title of the article should reflect that. Secondly, your new page title was incorrectly formatted. Please read WP:NC-SHIP on how to format article titles for ship classes. Llammakey (talk) 09:49, 13 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Behavingsnose, thanks for creating the new article about Quantum Capital Partners. Unfortunately the article is entirely unsourced, so it may not be retained. Please review the article and source it with independent, reliable references. In the meantime I have removed potentially controversial statements about their revenue and staff levels. Similarly, your addition to the Revell article was unsourced. I have added a reference to support this statement. If you have any questions, please le me know. pseudonym Jake Brockman talk 16:01, 21 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Quantum Capital Partners requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company, corporation or organization that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. reddogsix (talk) 16:56, 21 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Question for administrator

[edit]

<There is a quote on the link page listed below. there is no source and the source is marked as unknown. i am unsure on what to do as it sounds real however, no source is provided. the quote is very early on in the article. it is on the right hand side of the page opposite a picture of the firefighters memorial. I didn't want to remove a potentially good contribution so i thought to ask. thank you. https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/List_of_British_firefighters_killed_in_the_line_of_duty?action=edit&veswitched=1 >

Firstly, this isn't an administrative issue, and an administrator is in no more of a position to help with it than any other editor.
I copied a piece of the quoted verse, and pasted it into a search site. It came up with a large number of hits, indicating that the verse is indeed well known and often quoted as "The Firefighters' Prayer". If you make a similar search, you should be able to find plenty of "sources" in Wikipedia's sense, one or more of which you can cite in the article. The description "source unknown" in the article appears to mean that it isn't known who wrote the poem, or when or where, rather than that there is no known "source" in Wikipedia's sense. (The quote from the poem which I searched for is "When I am called to duty, God, Wherever flames may rage, Give me strength to save a life, Whatever be its age.") Request reason:

Caught by an open proxy block but this host or IP is not an open proxy. My IP address is 5.151.93.195. Place any further information here. I currently live in a flat located within university accommodation in the UK. I assume the IP has been blocked due to others causing issues by this IP however, I would never do so and I only wish to improve Wikipedia articles. I hope the IP can be unbanned or another solution can be reached so that I can continue contributing helpful information including literature, pictures, videos, audio files etc.

Decline reason:

Procedural decline as your account is not directly blocked. Yes, the IP is. Best suggestion I have is that you go to WP:IPECPROXY and follow the instructions there to request IP block exemption so that these blocks won't affect you. — Daniel Case (talk) 06:46, 28 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
