[edit]
  • "Name = xxx" - Should work only once, not everytime. Preferably, bold (''') should be removed.
    • Difficult. Need some specific examples.
  • Imagename, imagesize should be suppressed because what worked for the old box need not work for the new box, and the defaults should suffice for the moment
    • Makes sense, I can comment them out. ImageName does not exist anyway, but maybe of interest later on again (needs a template change then).
  • NFPA-R does not seem to work. -F, -H, -O work okay.
    • Yep, only partially working for the moment
  • placeholder values of "x.xx" and "?" should be suppressed
    • Yep, doing that in some cases, but not consistently .. need to run into the specific cases for that (can't just remove ? ..)
  • articles which contain other tables or other images seem to give problems.
    • Yep :-)
  • Fragments still appear:

    {| class="toccolours" border="1" style="float: right; clear: right; margin: 0 0 0em 0.5em; border-collapse: collapse;"

    • Done
  • Null "External links" sections not being removed
    • Need examples for this.
  • Unicodifying is probably a bad idea. I'm turning it off manually.
    • I'll turn it off.
  • {{reflist}} is probably acceptable. No reason to change to <references/>
    • I find this a useless template, it does exactly the same as the normal one, could change it to subst the template. Using this template only increases server traffic (see Wikipedia:Template_substitution)

If you see pages which give problems, press ignore, and put them in a list here. I can then work on them, and update the code to make them work for that as well. --Dirk Beetstra T C 16:38, 17 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • Multiple insertions of ==References== section
Hmm .. I will have a look at that. --Dirk Beetstra T C 15:17, 1 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Is it possible to turn MSDS links in the External links section into chembox fields, such as [3]? If it's too much trouble, it's fine but if it's easily accomplished, it will be helpful. --Rifleman 82 03:55, 4 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Chemboxes with unsupported fields

[edit]

I have no clue yet what to do with the boxes that contain fields which are not supported by {{chembox new}}, or other strange fields. I will ignore them for now.

  • 18-Crown-6
  • 1,2-Bis(diphenylphosphino)ethane
  • 1,8-Bis(dimethylamino)naphthalene
  • Dinitrogen tetroxide - many strangely named fields, ignored for now (will do on next example)
  • VX (nerve agent) - Ignored for now .. someone has been really creative here
