[edit]Hello, I'm Jeraxmoira. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Jason Boyarski, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Jeraxmoira (talk) 19:55, 11 August 2023 (UTC)

Request reason:
I added some information on behalf of my colleague to make updates to his page. I did so without realizing I needed to disclose these details. I added the disclosure as directed by User:Diannaa. I logged into a colleagues account (that was not created by me) to copy some details over from their sandbox. I did not realize that too would infringe on policy. I am simply trying to add new relevant information to the article in question. I do sincerely apologize for my naiveté on the matter and promise to not do it again and will suggest edits as suggested to me on the articles Talk page
Accept reason:
I feel that there's adequate understanding here. - UtherSRG (talk) 14:48, 11 October 2023 (UTC)
- I'm willing to take you at your word, that you logged into a co-worker's account - but that isn't permitted either.
I think it would be best for the encyclopedia if you didn't edit the article Jason_Boyarski for a while. Perhaps suggesting edits via the talkpage instead.
Are there other topics that you would like to edit if unblocked, or are you solely here to edit the one article? SQLQuery Me! 16:25, 17 September 2023 (UTC)
- Hi SQL - I greatly appreciate your reply. Yes, I will suggest future edits on the talk page. Initially I did come here to edit this particular article however after learning more (albeit the hard way:)) I just may edit other articles if something peaks my interest or if I find that an article that could use an update.
- Thank you for your consideration. Beegirl33 (talk) 17:37, 19 September 2023 (UTC)

Conflict of interest/paid editing
[edit]Hello Beegirl33. The nature of your edits, such as the one you made to Jason Boyarski, gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.
Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.
Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Beegirl33. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Beegirl33|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}
. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Melcous (talk) 22:09, 11 August 2023 (UTC)
- Hi thank you - I have updated my user page with the disclosure. Beegirl33 (talk) 18:39, 25 August 2023 (UTC)
