Australia and the American Civil War

[edit]

I started the GA review of Australia and the American Civil War. There are lots of sections that need expansion and rewording for clarity. Wandalstouring (talk) 09:13, 26 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

DYK for Treaty of Fort Wayne (1803)

Stumped

[edit]

This DYK you nominated also did not get a credit at the article, as I pointed out for your article Australia and the American Civil War above when I gave you the viewing tool. Strange that my article on Conclusion of the American Civil War that I started did receive an article credit for being a DYK on 27 February 2009, some 4 days AFTER your article - stumped(?)!!!! Now here is where I am really stumped - none of the DYKs for today have received a credit at the article. Perhaps they will receive a credit later -or- there is a new policy on this -or- a BOT messed up. You would be more sophisticated in these matters, so I am just pointing it out. Maybe User:Victuallers would know, if you have further questions since he gave you the nominated DYK. If you find an answer to this, you can leave an answer HERE. Thanks!--Doug Coldwell talk 13:46, 1 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Frankfort and Cincinnati Railroad station

[edit]

Hi :-) Sorry being so slow to get back with you but we've been in Flordia the past 2 weekends. Went looking for the train station and drew a blank. First we looked on Maddox and found an old brick building across from the Southern RR tracks. But I think it is too far away from where the tracks crossed to be it. So, I did some research and found this info about the location. We looked there but saw nothing on North Broadway that looked like a wood building that would be a train station. Next time I go to the library, I'll look to see if I find any local history about the station being moved. I'll let you know if I find anything. FloNight♥♥♥ 21:34, 1 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

There has recently been some conjecture as to how to describe the victory by the German forces. Can you or other members of the project group please assist in the discussion on the talk page. I intend to call for a consensus decision in order to establish the infobox statement regarding the outcome of the battle. FWiW Bzuk (talk) 12:53, 2 March 2009 (UTC).[reply]

Battle of Tippecanoe

[edit]

Hey Bedford! I have been thinking about trying to take Battle of Tippecanoe to FAC. If you have a chance could you take a look and see if there is any improvements you think I could make to it? Charles Edward (Talk) 20:04, 3 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, perhaps you can help me.

[edit]

Hello, someone recommended that your group "The Wikipedia Military Project" might help me.

I recently posted the complete "Revolutionary War Drill Manual" by Baron von Steuben on WikiSource. However, I'm new to wikipedia, and there are many things I don't know how to do. One, is that I'd like to have a wikisource box on the Baron Von Steuben wikipedia page that tells readers that Steuben has works posted on Wikisource, with a link to the actual drill manual. I've seen these boxes and links on many other wikipedia pages. I hope you know what I mean.

If you or someone you know could put one of those boxes in the external links part of the Baron Von Steuben wikipedia page, that would be great.

Thanks.

Howdy XXXIV

[edit]

Howdy,

Thanks for the advice on Joseph W. Revere when I was getting ready to put it as a DYK if you saw it recieved 20.7 thousand views! So I was very excited to say the least. I also wanted to ask, since I have recently added more references to Uniforms of the Confederate States military forces, if you think it is ready to become a Good Article candidate or should I do more to it first? WikiProject Piracy participation update

[edit]

Hello Bedford/Archive18,

WikiProject Piracy is currently undergoing some updates and changes, and we are trying to find out who is still active in the project. You are currently listed as a participant on the list of participants, and we would like for you to update your status. Please move your name to the section that best describes your activity in the project:

  • Active - still active and interested within the scope of the WikiProject.
  • Semi-Active - still active on Wikipedia, but not as active in regards to the WikiProject.
  • Former Members - a catch-all classification for those editors who are not active on Wikipedia, those that are still on Wikipedia, but no longer part of this WikiProject, or those that have otherwise not moved their names to another classification yet.

Thank you,

John J. Williams

Hey Bedford! I started an article for John J. Williams (soldier) that you may be interested in. The last soldier to die in the American Civil War, from the 34th Indiana Regiment Infantry. I can't really find any more information on him, and thought maybe you knew something or had a source. It would make a great DYK. Charles Edward (Talk) 18:51, 27 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
