Chelmsford vs Sudbury
Bearcat, back in 1966 when Andrew Matheson lived in Chelmsford, it was a separate town. Therefor he as am I concider ourselves form Chelmsford.

Unelected candidates
Recognizing that we have (slightly) different ideas about how to deal with unelected political candidates - I was wondering if you wanted to give feedback on this essay I am writing - https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/User:Enos733/Political_candidates#Issues_around_unelected_candidates? Thanks - --Enos733 (talk) 07:53, 21 November 2018 (UTC)
Please advise: plagiarism on article that you recently helped correct.
I get the impression that you are a very busy editor, however, your two helpful edits to my over-categorization of some articles were really instructive to me and prompted me to edit some over-categorizations that I had already done. I'm wondering if you could provide some additional feedback on something that I think mandates either a quick clean wipe of the section or an immediate (perhaps tomorrow I should do this) rewrite from scratch.
Please refer to this section of an article I've tried to improve: Friedrich_Wilhelm_Murnau_Foundation#History. You will see the notice that I placed in the section. I've been procrastinating, but I think you have the best judgment for this compared to other editors that I've seen as you try to apply guidelines very stringently. I've copied the wikitext for the future, so feel free to do a complete wipe of that section. The problem as I see it is that there are multiple versions of this text in German sources and, if I remember correctly (it's been a number of days), English sources that are virtually identical to the prose in that history section (I tweaked it before I discovered the plagiarism—refer to my comment in the wikitext) that are clearly not licensed under anything that we could use on Wikipedia. Please advise: how would I initiate a clean wipe of that section (I'd love to go through the process myself if you find it appropriate)? If not, how soon should a rewrite happen? Tomorrow?
I also plan on converting some of the sources to the press release citation template, so I can take a step back and reevaluate much of the content that is included as I think some of it might merit removal until reliable, authoritative, secondary sources can be found. Sincerely, Shashi Sushila Murray, (message me) 05:17, 21 November 2018 (UTC)
- PS. I reread my comments on the talk page and found where I had found the English source of plagiarism: Talk:Friedrich_Wilhelm_Murnau_Foundation#Plagiarism. It is undoubtedly unacceptable content. Sincerely, Shashi Sushila Murray, (message me) 08:25, 21 November 2018 (UTC)
PEI Progressive Conservative party leadership election, infobox.
Howdy, seeing as there's now a Progressive Conservative Party of Prince Edward Island leadership election, 2017 & Progressive Conservative Party of Prince Edward Island leadership election, 2019 articles. Would you know how to add those races to the bottom of the infobox that mentioned all PC leadership elections? GoodDay (talk) 16:21, 23 November 2018 (UTC)

Toronto Public School Board
Hi Bearcat, you asked why my draft would need it's own page rather than being incorporated into either the Toronto Board of Education (TBE) or Toronto District School Board (TDSB) articles. I'm new to editing, but I wrote it as a standalone article along what I presumed was the justification for the TBE having a separate article, it was a separate board and the following board was created through amalgamation. The TDSB was created by the amalgamation of the TBE with the other five Toronto boards; the TBE was created from the merger of the Toronto Public School Board with the Collegiate and Technical boards. I would argue that the TPSB is actually more deserving of a separate article than the TBE because it marks a qualitative difference: the TPSB was only responsible for elementary schools, with the collegiate board governing secondary schools, whereas the only difference between the TBE and the TDSB is amalgamation with other boards. I've added a section on TPSB Industrial Schools and I'm hoping to continue to add to the article, but even in its current state, I thought it would be a little long for the TDSB history section. I would be interested to hear your thoughts on how it might be improved. --Ajcburrows (talk) 16:34, 28 November 2018 (UTC)
Need your help to learn how to fix the following in the 42nd Canadian Parliament Article
I cannot figure out how to go ahead and update the Party Standings and the Membership Changes of the House of Commons in 42nd Canadian Parliament.

The Mikko S. Niemelä article
Mikko S. Niemelä was created in October and moved to mainspace in November. Came to my attention via a TeaHouse query by the person who created it. I deleted content that claimed MSN had a U.S. patent because the reference was to a patent application. I also deleted a Facebook ref. In looking at article again, I feel it should go to AfD. Refs 2 & 7 are conference programs with a biosketch about Niemela. Ref 1 is a blog with a similar biosketch. The article about Niemela borrows near-identical wording from the biosketchs. And the biosketches are near-identical to what is on his own website: https://mikkosniemela.com/. Ref 4 is an interview, ref 5 is an article by Niemela and ref 6 is only a name-mention. I would nominate this for AfD myself, but I've had problems going through the process in the past. Please consider starting an AfD. Or if not, bump it back to me and I will attempt. Nomination of List of places in Canada: A for deletion
A discussion is taking place as to whether the article List of places in Canada: A is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.
The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of places in Canada: A (2nd nomination) until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.
Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article.
Just letting you know about this since you were the first to nominate this and List of places in Canada: B for deletion, but withdrew them; I'm nominating them a second time. Cobblet (talk) 23:51, 3 December 2018 (UTC)
I believe there has been a misunderstanding and I would encourage a withdrawal of the AfD. This article is NOT a split from Deaths in 2018, it is a split from 2018 in American television, which is an article in need of significant size reduction. I welcome any queries about this. Cheers, Onetwothreeip (talk) 00:20, 5 December 2018 (UTC)
Category:Births in Sillery and Category:Deaths in Sillery
Hi, Bearcat this is an urgent message. User:Dcflyer has created both categories titled Category:Births in Sillery and Category:Deaths in Sillery. The category Births in Sillery, there is no "people from" and both categories are both trivial. Could you put both categories Category:Births in Sillery and Category:Deaths in Sillery and challenge them at the "Categories for discussion" both categories are very trivial and the Births in Sillery category is missing the "People from". So could you review both Sillery categories and put them at the CFD for deletion. I will happy to assist and help you to propose both categories at the CFD. Thanks for your consideration. 2001:569:7C07:2600:B5A7:9A61:5868:C706 (talk) 00:03, 10 December 2018 (UTC)

Categories in drafts
Hallo, rather than removing a category from a draft, why not either add a colon or comment it out, as recommended by the very WP:DRAFTNOCAT to which you linked? PamD 09:10, 18 December 2018 (UTC)
Another new Canadian article
I created The Mountie (film) tonight and noticed Tony Munch is the only billed star who does not have his own article. He was in Cube if that helps, and seemingly in quite a few other films. If you are still of a mind to do biography articles for Canadians in film, well, there's one for you.:) ZarhanFastfire (talk) 08:55, 19 December 2018 (UTC)
