You should consider contacting info-en-q@wikimedia.org with your concerns...emails to that address are tracked through a ticketing system, and are handled by a group of editors who are used to dealing with problems like yours. Certain details, such as what transpired when you were on the show, probably won't be removed as they don't violate any Wikipedia policies, but certain private details may fall under the privacy protections of the BLP policy. I am not getting a reposnse. i need this information removed immediately.

my full name my date of birth my school my univeristy mu occupation where i live is visible to the public. this is PERSONAL information that identifies me and which I have now requested to have removed with no helpful response.

I am not a famous person, I am not a celebrity, I appeared briefly on a tv show 4 years sgo

I am finding this extremely emotionally distressing. As are my other family members who are also identifiable through me and who do not wish to be associated with a TV show that ended 4 years ago.

Nope, not crazy. This is a big site, there are lots of rules about stuff that make lots of sense for reasons that aren't obvious unless you see the right corner of the big picture and why this is a real problem. For very good reasons, legal issues off-wiki are incompatible with editing on-wiki. Instant block, just as a preventative measure.

Please be patient. Wikipedia works a lot better if you can be patient. Your information is public in other places than WP, it was on WP for ages and now it's no longer visible on WP. Please let the processes, mostly at Wikipedia:Administrators'_noticeboard/Incidents#please_remove_information_about_me_immediately, work their way through.
