Building Rome

[edit]

Hi Bball606, welcome to Wikipedia!

Thanks for your personal email via my contact page about the "notoriety" of Building Rome. Perhaps this is a Freudian slip and you meant "notability"? The band may be local or even perhaps regional, but they do appear to be active. As to their notability, they appear to actively producing and selling music. If the article passed muster last year when I marked it for speedy deletion, then I suppose other editors have found it suitably worthy as an article.

I noticed that you are developing an article about One Lone Car, another band that happens to be located in St. Louis, as is Building Rome. This leads me to wonder if you may have a bit of an conflict of interest here, and emailing me privately suggests a possible hidden agenda. While you have initiated a discussion for deleting Building Rome, you have not supplied sufficient information to justify why it should be deleted. Please see before getting started for assistance.

By asking me privately to follow up about getting the page deleted you appear to be seeking a proxy. Wikipedia relies on its editors to act in good faith. I'm sure you can appreciate how important this is to the work here.

If I have mis-read your intent, I apologize. If you truly believe Building Rome is not notable, please follow the suggested guidelines. — btphelps (talk) (contribs) 17:18, 16 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
