I changed the article "Alexander Ferdinand Grychtolik" and I undid the "undo" of Gerda Ahrend because the article had too much unimportant details, unimportant for an encyclopedia with a claim of quality. As you can see there is a new homepage of Alexander Grychtolik, so there is a good source for the most important information.

Are you aware that the article was threatened to be deleted and therefore expanded more than is normal? Please discuss a change like before (!) on the article's (!) talk page. I asked this before. I homepage is generally not considered an independent source here. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 20:24, 16 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Please revert using a homepage as a reference. It is not an independent reliable source ("official" or not), return it to External links. Please also study the deletion discussion on the article's talkpage, revert more of your changes and reinstall the independent sources. I pointed the Project Classical music at this discussion. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 21:04, 16 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
What is relevant for the encyclopedia is not decided by single users, such as the anonymous one who just reverted again, whom I can't address. What is relevant is decided by the community. This may be more than you think, like relevant performers and broadcasters. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 11:14, 18 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
"content deleted, that has no biographical value for an encyclopedia!!" - this was the last edit summary, as a response to the request to raise specific concerns (!) on the article's talk page. Someone doesn't understand English. Repeating: What is relevant for the encyclopedia is not decided by single users, but by the community. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 11:32, 18 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Content biography

[edit]

Ok, but I think from my side also that this article has to much content, thas is realy unimportant for a biography page, so there are different opinions in the community. See the wikipedia guidelines concerning writing an new article: an article needs relevance, it should not be an unreflected accumulation of google-research results. So I changed the article into a shorter version and I deleted some events.

Please discuss this on the article's talk page (!) not here, in detail. Please sign your comments. Please respect that three experienced editors reverted. I don't like edit warring - this is what reverting three times is called. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 12:20, 18 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
(ec) Please sign your contributions with ~~~~. This discussion should take place at Talk:Alexander Ferdinand Grychtolik. You should not edit the same article as Bax4aa74 and as an anonymous IP editor.
The consensus is that the content you removed is encyclopedic. If you have specific concerns regarding some items, please raise them at the article's dicussion page; simply reverting is not appropriate. -- Michael Bednarek (talk) 12:23, 18 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
