Speedy deletion of Energy Recovery Inc.

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Energy Recovery Inc. requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company or corporation, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for companies and corporations.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. - Realkyhick (Talk to me) 02:28, 30 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Richard Stover is one of the individuals who perfected the PX-220 that has become the basis for some of the largest SWRO plants being designed today, servicing train sizes up to 25,000 cubic meters per day of permeate capacity.
It is greatly involved in seawater desalination which promotes energy recovery hence making him a notable individual in the Green Industry. Basherr (talk) 08:40, 10 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, I have still gone ahead and deleted the page, however, if you wish to rewrite the page such that it is not just a biography, but instead establishs the notability that you outlined above (with sources if possible), it will not be speedy deleted (at least not by me, and a deletion discussion would probably have to conclude that it should be deleted). Speedy deletion of Richard Stover

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Richard Stover requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must include on the external site the statement "I, (name), am the author of this article, (article name), and I release its content under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 and later." You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! I noticed that you recently added a {{hangon}} template to an article, Richard Stover. In order for an administrator to evaluate whether the article should be speedy deleted or not, we request that you provide reasoning, on the article's talk page, for why it should remain. Thank you. Proposed deletion of Richard Stover

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Richard Stover, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached.  Ravenswing  20:05, 2 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
