Hi Bradford, Kate, and Brittany: Good start on your content. I formatted your headers properly which automatically populated your TOC for you. This will give you a better look at where you need to add sections/content.

Also, I've moved your "questions from the group" to this talk page; feel free to keep adding Q&A's here. Putting it here will keep it separated from your article content and ensure we don't have problems long-term. I'm hoping Leigh is answering these questions for you.

Regarding your Works Cited section, you are likely seeing those boxes b/c of the way you copy/pasted the text. Wikipedia is not a fan of text copied from Word docs; however, you can likely clean this up in the WP editor.

Keep working on developing your content, adding links to WP articles where appropriate, properly formatting your references, and having fun! --Rburdette (talk) 18:22, 25 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Questions from the group

[edit]

Is it possible for LSU to get access to other Universities’ databases to see if we can find more information on Lillo’s background? This was the only source I found with biographical information. - Brittany

The only other place I can think of gathering information about historical context is a history book. Is this acceptable? – B Is this enough information? Where should we go from here? How can we expand? – Kate

B, you should research more about the ballad, and actual history, about George Barnwell’s murder of his uncle. The ballad of George Barnwell plays a part in social context and leads him to write The London Merchant. You should also research more about London mercantilism and the bureaucracy involved. – Kate

We have definitely added more information than there was before; however, there is still very little written about Lillo’s life and background. What else should we do? - Kate

Kate, I need to find the other works written by Lillo. I currently only have found 5 or 6. - Kate

For comparison. -- Ssilvers (talk) 04:32, 12 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
