Hello, everyone. Is it modest to ask that copyediting standards and proper English be taken heavily into account when editing articles? What I mean is, should articles be altered for grammar alone? I am a new user who joined because I am passionate for academic grammar and language in informational media and have seen many rash uses of language that could cause confusion to readers. I realize that certain colloquial grammatical rules exist but proper English is most universally accessible and accurate. Thoughts?
