3RR Complaint

[edit]

I find it amazing that you inform Nick Burns that you claim to know who I am when you clearly have no idea whatsoever. You don't even have my gender correct! I would be very careful about making accusatory comments such as this in such a public arena as you are in very real danger of making libellous comments. Any such continuance of unfounded allegations made in this hostile manner may result in legal action.

Thanks for your comment on my talk page. I know other people were disputing the link, but I have no issue with it, nor with you. I do believe those 3 links (Dusty Devotedly, Woman of Repute and the Bulletin) should come first, then the others, simply because those three constitute an enormous chunk of the Dusty-online world.

I know you probably mean very well and want to highlight the LTD site, etc. and let people know it's there. Just as an FYI, however, if you had continued to put LTD atop the list, that could have been perceived as spamming (ie, a person who makes edits to promote their website). I know your intention is NOT that, but just be aware that Wikipedia has some pretty specific guidelines about that. Thanks! --NickBurns 13:46, 2 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Barleywater, I am not singling you out...I sent this to everyone today who is involved with the ongoing dispute. " I'd like you to take a look at this. There's a dispute going on amongst several of you, and I really think all parties need to take a look (ie, I am not singling you out)." The link is: http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Wikipedia:What_Wikipedia_is_not Thanks. NickBurns 02:17, 3 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please note that external links should be used in almost all cases only to reliable sources which actually verify an article's content, not to sites which are just somehow related to an article's subject. Wikipedia is not a collection of links or a directory. Seraphimblade 07:30, 14 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Statement From Andy

[edit]

Andy (I can't believe I've been calling him Andrew all these weeks! Oh my!) has asked me to let you know that he will be making a statement on his old website in a day or two. I've nagged him into it!
