Information icon Please do not add original research or novel syntheses of published material to articles as you apparently did to Yeezus. We welcome and appreciate your contributions, but we cannot accept original research. Original research also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. Thank you. Dan56 bullying

[edit]

Dan56 seems to bully people into his POV. he tends to prefer old-school artists, but also Kanye. He hates Nicki Minaj. He reverts and "fixes" anything that he doesn't agree with personally, then rallies around a few cronies to agree with him on talk pages. I've checked- he reaches out and tells them basically what to say. On Nicki Minaj's page, he wanted to make her "negative" so used Metacritic to say her reviews were just "mixed." On Aaliyah's page, becuse he likes her, he said "metacritic" is not the"end-all." Frankly, the guy's full of shit, and must have all day to just bully good-faith editors around. Venuzza67 (talk) 11:14, 12 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I do not think it is fair to post such a comment on my talk page without allowing Dan56 to easily see and respond to it. I hope you are not confusing the content dispute I have on Yeezus with a personal dispute. While I find aspects of how Dan56 approaches discussion with other users to be unfortunate, I do not have a personal dispute with this user. DElliott (talk) 23:11, 12 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Arca (producer), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page UNO (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Yeezus may have broken the syntax by modifying 2 "{}"s. If you have, don't worry, just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:

Arca

[edit]

Hi, Can you please delete the Arca wiki page you created. At request of Artist, management and label. Thanks

http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Arca_(producer) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Westonfire (talkcontribs) 10:02, 27 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know Wikipedia's policy for such a request. DElliott (talk) 10:21, 27 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • As we have no way of knowing that that request comes from there, and it has no real relevance to the presence or absence of an article anyway, I'd say to ignore it. I can't say that the subject looks particularly notable to me, and as you are the only contributor of real content, I'd say that if you want to delete it a G7 tag would work. Don't be pressurised, though. There are a lot of people and companies who would like to see their articles gone... Peridon (talk) 10:45, 27 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • The article subject may request deletion this way, with community discussion. You can also request article deletion as the author but you don't have to. Gryllida (talk) 10:55, 27 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

What evidence do you need to know the request has come from the person this article is about? Surly DELLiott has some interest in Arca's career to spend time making this page, why would you want to prevent him & his management from creating it themselves? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Westonfire (talkcontribs) 12:15, 27 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Purely the fact that DElliott doesn't know Arca so surly wikipedia would rather the information come from the person the article is about no? Also because he wants it removed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Westonfire (talkcontribs) 13:30, 27 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Can you delete this page please, not sure what you gain from refusing? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Westonfire (talkcontribs) 14:08, 27 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • Westonfire, the policy allows deletion as a result of community discussion. An article author is given special right to request his article speedy deletion right at the spot. This right is there not as a policy workaround (i.e. without community discussion, in this case), it is there for author's convenience. Gryllida (talk) 06:06, 29 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Your edit to Rothermere's page was mentioned by George Monbiot on twitter. I tried to clarify it was to policy. You may wish to respond.

Please familirise yourself with WP:BLP; you should not re-add unreferenced material about living people once it has been challenged and removed, regardless of any {{cn}} tags you add. I have re-removed the offending material, as well as other stuff I missed first time around. GiantSnowman 11:31, 5 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Aunva6. I wanted to let you know that I undid one or more of your recent contributions to AMD Accelerated Processing Unit because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks! -- Aunva6talk - contribs 14:32, 20 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I hope you or User:ScotXW take responsibility for appropriately sourcing the claims with inline citations, and for reformatting the contribution so it adheres to the style guidelines. BananaLanguage (talk) 14:39, 20 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
it's a work in progress. you've made some good contributions to the page before, and you could come up with more sources pretty easily. see WP:INSPECTOR. you CAN work WITH us to change it, rather than deleting the whole section. -- Aunva6talk - contribs 14:55, 20 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the acknowledgement, we all do our best to keep the page up-to-date and well-sourced. Don't you think that work-in-progress belongs in a sandbox until it is ready to be moved into article space? BananaLanguage (talk) 15:33, 20 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Shift in Control Matrix (Local Elections)

[edit]

Hi there, just wanted to say that I really love the your shift of control matrix that you added to the local election page, a really nice way to visualise the data in a way that isn't just a table. Would you consider adding them to previous years local election pages? :) Guyb123321 (talk) 17:06, 23 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! I'm glad to hear you liked it. I could take a look into adding the shift matrix to previous local and national elections, providing the data is available in a reasonably structured format. BananaLanguage (talk) 09:03, 24 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

You have been randomly selected to take part in the discussion of adding R&B and dubstep to Unapologetic, please can you put some input into it on it's talk page. Dan56 and copyvios

[edit]

Hi, BananaLanguage. I noticed that you are currently working with Dan56 regarding copyvio concerns. I wonder if you would be interested in reporting what you've observed at Wikipedia:Requests for comment/Dan56. Harmelodix (talk) 17:58, 3 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

@Harmelodix: I am extremely reluctant to get involved in this type of Internet bureaucracy, but I'll see if there is anything useful that I can contribute. BananaLanguage (talk) 22:38, 3 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom Elections 2016: Voting now open!

[edit]

Hello, BananaLanguage. Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2016 election, please review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 22:08, 21 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
