[edit]Hello Balkywrest. Your account has been granted the "rollbacker" and "pending changes reviewer" user rights. These user rights allow you to review other users' edits on pages protected by pending changes and quickly revert the edits of other users.
- Please keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:
- Rollback should never be used to edit war.
- Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
- Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback (even though you're not an admin).
- The list of articles awaiting review is located at Special:PendingChanges, while the list of articles that have pending changes protection enabled is located at Special:StablePages. You may find the following pages useful to review:
- Wikipedia:Reviewing pending changes, the guideline on reviewing.
- Wikipedia:Pending changes, the summary of the use of pending changes.
- Wikipedia:Protection policy#Pending changes protection, the policy determining which pages can be given pending changes protection by administrators.
Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of reviewer or rollback. If you no longer want either of these user rights, contact me and I'll remove it, alternatively you can leave a request on the administrators' noticeboard. Happy editing! A community decision has authorised the use of general sanctions for pages related to the blockchain and cryptocurrencies. The details of these sanctions are described here. All pages that are broadly related to these topics are subject to a one revert per twenty-four hours restriction, as described here.
General sanctions is a system of conduct regulation designed to minimise disruption in controversial topic areas. This means uninvolved administrators can impose sanctions for edits relating to these topics that do not adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, our standards of behaviour, or relevant policies. Administrators may impose sanctions such as editing restrictions, bans, or blocks. An editor can only be sanctioned after he or she has been made aware that general sanctions are in effect. This notification is meant to inform you that sanctions are authorised in these topic areas, which you have been editing. It is only effective if it is logged here. Before continuing to edit pages in these topic areas, please familiarise yourself with the general sanctions system. Don't hesitate to contact me or another editor if you have any questions.MER-C 15:39, 16 November 2018 (UTC)
ArbCom 2018 election voter message
[edit]Hello, Balkywrest. Voting in the 2018 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 3 December. All users who registered an account before Sunday, 28 October 2018, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Thursday, 1 November 2018 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2018 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 19 November 2018 (UTC)

Hi there. I noted you used rollback with this edit and wanted to remind you that rollback is only to be used for clear cases of vandalism. This was not one of those cases but a good faith attempt to change the date format to the one used on Germany, which is where the subject is from. Such reverts, if necessary, should always be accompanied with an explanation in the edit summary and consistent misuse of rollback to undo good faith edits will result in the right being revoked. You can use Twinkle to pseudo-rollback such edits with an explanation. Regards SoWhy 08:16, 11 December 2018 (UTC)
- @SoWhy: Sorry about that! I was mass reverting edits made by Kipperfield socks. Balkywrest (talk) 12:03, 11 December 2018 (UTC)
- No worries, just be careful with that button, it can easily be misused. Regards SoWhy 13:00, 11 December 2018 (UTC)
A page you started (Eulalia Pérez Sedeño) has been reviewed!
[edit]Thanks for creating Eulalia Pérez Sedeño.
I have just reviewed the page, as a part of our page curation process.
Thanks for your contribution! It'd be great if you could go through and change some of your bulleted lists into paragraphs of prose. You'll see we generally don't leave folks' career descriptions as bulleted lists in their biographies. Happy editing!
To reply, leave a comment here and ping me.

G11
[edit]Hi, a number of your WP:CSDcsd nominations for G11 have been inappropriate as they are not spam enough for G11 in draftspace. Please read WP:CSD, regards Atlantic306 (talk) 13:47, 28 December 2018 (UTC)
- @Atlantic306: I don't see anything WP:CSD#G11 that says the spam threshold should be higher for drafts than in mainspace. Balkywrest (talk) 02:09, 3 January 2019 (UTC)

Steemit edit
[edit]In an edit to Steemit you removed a notability tag with an edit summary remove tag added by sock. The edit who placed that tag was David Gerard who certainly is not a sock of anyone. Can you please explain and explain how this fits with assume good faith? Velella Velella Talk 03:53, 17 January 2019 (UTC)
- I'd love to hear that too - David Gerard (talk) 06:44, 17 January 2019 (UTC)
- @David Gerard: Sorry about that. I removed the tag because it was added by blocked puppet R2d232h2 in this diff, not realizing that you had originally tagged here. I never assumed that you were a sockpuppet. Balkywrest (talk) 23:09, 17 January 2019 (UTC)

Blocked as a sockpuppet
[edit]I have blocked this account as a sockpuppet of User:Septrillion (who in turn also was probably a sockpuppet of another user, but that's a story for another day). I'd rather not reveal what evidence led me to believe this here per WP:BEANS but am willing to share that info via email to anyone who asks. Sro23 (talk) 04:53, 4 February 2019 (UTC)
