Peer Review- Imperium in Imperio

[edit]

Hi! Below is my specific feedback from Peer Review. Overall, what you have thus far looks good! I think there's a lot of opportunity to elaborate and improve on what is already existing. Base on your work in the new section on Afro-futurism, it seems like you have a good idea of the way in which those edits should be done. I think there just needs to be more! Keep up the great work :)

Feedback from Sandbox & Edits

Lead

- Looks like no edits to the Lead yet, but it is pretty strong as it stands.

- I think you could update the lead to reflect new content you have already/plan to add. Based on your edits thus far, I would add a section to the lead referencing Afro-futurism & the text.

Content

The content that has been added looks good! Relevant to the topic and up to date. If anything, I'd like to see more new content!

Tone and Balance

The content added is written in a neutral tone, and the viewpoints presented are interesting. Because there is so little else in the article thus far, it does feel like Melissa Wright's perspective is over-represented. Definitely keep this in mind as you continue to add more information, the article would strengthen from a wide variety of viewpoints!

Sources and References

The existing sources and references are very limited, particularly in the original author's work. I think there is a large opportunity for you to add to that! The source that you've introduced is well cited, however.

Organization

Overall, the added material is well written. No spelling or grammar mistakes. Keep up the good work!

Images or Media

No new images or media, only one existing in the article. Perhaps there is an opportunity to add more.

Peer Review

[edit]

In regards to the lead, it is fairly strong as is, and covers most of what succeeded in the rest of the Wiki article.

The Plot is very informative, but some of the writing is a little convoluted. I see that you have already taken steps to try and make this section of the Wiki article a little easier to read, and I would encourage continuing to do this.

The Afrofuturism section is an important contribution you have made. It remains very neutral and unbiased, while also being informative. Maybe consider getting rid of the large quote at the end and rewriting it in your own words (this is discussed in some of our training modules that you should only add a quote if absolutely necessary). Also, since this is new information, incorporating it into the lead may improve the article overall. Another small detail, it looks like "secret" was repeated twice unintentionally, so make sure to try and fix that.

Although it looks like you havn't gotten to this section yet, under the "Characters" heading, if you wish to keep this, consider adding more important characters from the novel. Just from reading the "Plot" section, there seems to be many more important characters not listed in the "Characters" heading.

All in all, I think you are on the right path, so keep up the good work!
