Avestan font

[edit]

Regarding your recent edit here, can you advise what font/font family is required to render the text in your Avestan language wiktionary link? I have a couple of Avestan fonts installed, but the text does not render correctly. Thanks.--Jeffro77 (talk) 03:48, 9 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

This ahuramzda font works great. It is recommended on wikipedia's Multilingual support and gives the correct rendering there. --BakGF (talk) 12:05, 9 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. I installed that font, but it still does not render correctly. May be a problem with my configuration, but this computer is about to be replaced anyway.--Jeffro77 (talk) 06:52, 12 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
It works great on my Mac but I also have problems on Windows (8.1), the font is not used, not sure why. The characters are the correct Avestan letters in Unicode: here is š¬žš¬€š¬Œš¬š¬Œ (pairi, 'around') decoded.
