Below are some article references for my Wikipedia Topic: Color polymorphism in lizards (Lacerta vivipara)

Feel free to add comments about the following articles in the comment section and specify which article by its citation number.

You might want to move these to the talk page of the study species so that more users will come across them and can comment on them! Also, #2 is a reply to an article, and probably not the best source to use, although certainly if you feel it is, then go for it! Also, the title of #3 doesn't look super relevant to the topic - double check it is before deciding on which to use! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Evol&Glass (talkcontribs) 18:45, 21 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, BabyPug49 and welcome to Wikipedia! It appears you are participating in a class project. If you haven't done so already, we encourage you to go through our training for students.

Go through our online training for students.

If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Please also read this helpful advice for students.

Before you create an article, make sure you understand what kind of articles are accepted here. Remember: Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and while many topics are encyclopedic, some things are not.

Your instructor or professor may wish to set up a course page, and if your class doesn't already have one please tell your instructor about that. It is highly recommended that you place this text: {{Educational assignment}} on the talk page of any articles you are working on as part of your Wikipedia-related course assignment. This will let other editors know this article is a subject of an educational assignment and aid your communication with them.

We hope you like it here and encourage you to stay even after your assignment is finished! Drm310 (talk) 04:31, 28 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi BabyPug49, while some of your grammatical changes to this article are welcome (and I'll reinstate those), please note that the article itself is written using Australian English spelling (see MOS:ENGVAR). Cheers, Bahudhara (talk) 02:18, 26 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Bahudhara! I undid your undo so I can keep my main revisions. But I maintained the Australian english spelling. I apologize for changing it in the first place -- I wasn't aware of the Australian English spellings. Please keep my other edits. BabyPug49 (talk)
Hi BabyPug49, I was engaged in a rewrite when you beat me to it before I could save my changes! (By the way, it's usual on user talk pages to keep a discussion on the page where it's first started - having left my earlier comment on your talk page, I've got it on my watchlist and can see when you've replied; and it makes it easier to keep the thread going. And apologies accepted re the spelling changes.)
As originally written, the section on colour polymorphism had a clunky academic style that clashes with the rest of the article. Your edits improved it somewhat, but did introduce some difficulties (e.g. female "partners" seems a little too anthropomorphic). Remember that Wikipedia is intended for a general audience; and that although you are required to write in a formal style for academic purposes, if you are being encouraged to contribute to Wikipedia by your supervisors, it's because they want you to become a more effective communicator, and broaden your skillset.
I'll make my edits now, which incorporate some of your changes, but do have other more substantial changes. Cheers, Bahudhara (talk) 04:56, 26 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
