Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, BVILover, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay.

There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the Teahouse, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{help me}} on this page, followed by your question, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Questions or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! Kharkiv07 (T) 02:18, 3

The article Mackenzie Hollister(Dork Diaries) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Does not show a case for notability of this fictional character as opposed to the series.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Your contributed article, Catergory: Islands

[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Catergory: Islands. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Category:Islands. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Category:Islands – you might like to discuss new information at [[Talk:Category:Islands|the article's talk page]].

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. CHRISSYMAD ❯❯❯¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 22:22, 3 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Villa Di Poggio a Caiano, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A2 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a foreign language article that has essentially the same content as an article on another Wikimedia project. Please see Wikipedia:Translation to learn about requests for, and coordination of, translations from foreign-language Wikipedias into English.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Translation

[edit]

Hi! Three things:

  • In case it isn't already completely clear to you: we discourage the use of Google Translate and the like for translation of content here. You are welcome to translate, but please only do so if you can read the source language without difficulty, and can write your translation in fluent English. Otherwise it just creates a mass of work for other editors; some of them might find the sort of stuff you put at Schloss Fuschl quite annoying.
  • Material you add to Wikipedia should be supported by independent reliable sources, or it is likely to be removed immediately. So if you are thinking of translating a page, please check that it is adequately sourced, and that you can access and understand the sources.
  • When you translate a page from another Wikipedia, you must provide attribution for the work of the editors who created the other-language page. The best way to do that is with a {{translated page}} template on the talk-page of the article (our article, here in en.wp). The basic code is
{{translated page| Source Language Code | Source Page Title | version = 123456789 | insertversion = 987654321 }}.
For Schloss Fuschl, that would become:
{{translated page| de | Schloss Fuschl | version = 164597182 | insertversion = 786652092}}
I've done that one for you, so that you can see how. If you have questions, you can ask here – I should see that you have done so. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 21:07, 20 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
