Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:101 6639 0019 355.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 14:40, 1 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The article has been merged into lemur. Please do not recreate it. - UtherSRG (talk) 15:22, 1 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Also, you are in violation of the 3 revert rule. - UtherSRG (talk) 15:26, 1 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No. It is merged and deleted. Leave it be. - UtherSRG (talk) 15:34, 1 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia is not responsible for what you need to do for your class. The article is not acceptable as a standalone article. It has been merged. Each species, genus, family, etc. get their own article, and yes, it is very different. We're an encyclopedia, not a classroom. - UtherSRG (talk) 15:47, 1 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

If you need to write an article that stays, find an existing red link and make that article. - UtherSRG (talk) 16:17, 1 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed from your user page this account is intended to be utilized by a class to improve Wikipedia. While we really appreciate contributions, due to some of the legal restrictions associated with the GFDL license, we don't permit accounts to utilized by multiple individuals. (Such accounts are termed 'role accounts' and are commonly blocked). Each account should only be utilized by one individual. If you have any questions, please feel free to leave a note on my talk page, or just type {{help}} on your talk page, and someone will be along. Best, --Bfigura (talk) 00:44, 2 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Great! We're learning as we proceed. My students have now been instructed to start their own accounts. 132.236.111.70 (talk) 16:17, 2 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, only one person now is sailing this ship! BIOEE278WIM2008 (talk) 16:19, 2 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Glad to hear it. Good luck with the class, feel free to drop a line if you have any questions at any point. Best, --Bfigura (talk) 23:34, 2 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome

Hi there, it looks like you guys got off to a difficult start. I'd like to help you with this, but the first thing for you all to do is create individual accounts for yourselves. After you have done that, you could look at this set of requested articles - this is a list of articles people have asked for on the topic of evolution that are not currently in the encyclopaedia. If you need any help with this, I'd be delighted to help, just leave me a message on my user talkpage. Tim Vickers (talk) 02:35, 2 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I’ll try to help with these red links, but some are really bizarre and I question whether they deserve any attention. For example pig evolution is incredibly vague; is it about the evolutionary history of the genus Suidae or is it a request for information on selection and adaption of domesticated pigs. Perhaps just the addition of a Taxonomy and evolution section on the pig wiki would suffice—given that equivalent pages on lion evolution or cow evolution don’t exist. BIOEE278WIM2008 (talk) 16:45, 2 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Good question. You might want to raise this issue on the discussion page of the WikiProject Evolutionary biology, which is located at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Evolutionary biology. AecisBrievenbus 23:55, 2 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
It would seem the pig evolution article got axed. (And in the future, feel free to be bold if you come across something you think needs changing.) Cheers, --Bfigura (talk) 00:03, 3 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

When you use <ref>, you must put <references /> at the appropriate point otherwise the refs are invisible. -- RHaworth (Talk | contribs) 04:38, 2 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

GA review of "Evolution of sexual reproduction"

[edit]

As part of the GA review sweeps process (see:Wikipedia:WikiProject Good articles/Project quality task force/Sweeps, a project devoted to re-reviewing Good Articles listed before August 26, 2007), the article Evolution of sexual reproduction has been re-reviewed. I have placed the article on hold until sufficient citations can be added to the article, this point of improvement is mandatory for GA-quality articles. Optional points of improvement include: prose quality, and the guidelines issued at the manual of style for section headings, which include brevity and lack of repetition. If an editor has not expressed interest in improving the article within seven days, the article will be delisted as a Good Article. The review can be found at Talk:Evolution of sexual reproduction/GA1. --ErgoSumtalktrib 04:32, 30 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
