[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia and thanks for your contribution so far. Just a heads up, it would be worth checking out WP:BRD as it applies to several of your edits. Also, when you edit and there is a 'hatnote' asking editors not to change a detail, as you did here, you should always open up a discussion the article's talk page rather than make the edit directly. Trying to convince people with detailed edit summaries generally doesn't work. Let me know if you need any help, cheers Flat Out (talk) 02:07, 15 August 2018 (UTC)
- Alright, thank you. I have several years of experience on the MCU Wiki as a major editor, and am a top expert on the MCU Wiki, having devoted time every day for years to the timeline work (proof: 1, 2). The "hatnote" on there is often just used as an explanation for people who might not understand and want to edit something without full understanding. The talk pages on there also often get completely ignored, so I thought that would make no difference. I noticed a few months ago when the Iron Man 3 page was edited to say it took place in 2013. I waited and waited hoping one day, someone would put it right, but they never did. It was incredibly frustrating, as someone who is, for lack of a less-arrogant-sounding word, an expert on the MCU timeline, seeing the page misinform this way, and I finally decided I should do something about it. With the provision of explicit Marvel confirmation, I thought everyone would understand and this would be the only time I ever need to edit a Wikipedia page, but apparently not. So I'll open up a section in the Talk page if that is the best option.BEJT1 (talk) 10:20, 15 August 2018 (UTC)
