Proposed deletion of Blue Ghost Tunnel

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Blue Ghost Tunnel, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Article's subject is identical with an existing entry in the encyclopedia. See Merritton Tunnel. This article is unreferenced and redundant, in fact, a redirect already exists to the Merritton Tunnel article.

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Proposed deletion of Silver Run Tunnel

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Silver Run Tunnel, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Brief unreferenced ghost story with no indication of notability.

Proposed deletion of The Tale of Laughing in the Dark (Episode)

[edit]

The article The Tale of Laughing in the Dark (Episode) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Info duplicated in List of Are You Afraid of the Dark? episodes.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Tckma (talk) 18:52, 30 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is The Tale of Laughing in the Dark (Episode). We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The Tale of Laughing in the Dark (Episode). Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:14, 31 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Trapped! Games - Floor 6 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.) or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. mhking (talk) 19:49, 2 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Trapped! Games Floor 5 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Book articles

[edit]

I see you have created a number of articles about children's books. An encyclopaedia is interested primarily in the book in the real world - how it was received, how it came to be written etc. The actual content of the book is relatively unimportant. Please see WP:IINFO, particularly point 1. I42 (talk) 21:44, 8 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not replace Wikipedia pages with blank content, as you did to Miss Gribble. Blank pages are harmful to Wikipedia because they have a tendency to confuse readers. If it is a duplicate article, please redirect it to an appropriate existing page. If the page has been vandalized, please revert it to the last legitimate version. If you feel that the content of a page is inappropriate, please edit the page and replace it with appropriate content. If you believe there is no hope for the page, please see the deletion policy for how to proceed.   — Jeff G. (talk|contribs) 19:17, 27 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of "The Hair Witch Project (The Worst Witch)"

[edit]

A page you created, The Hair Witch Project (The Worst Witch), has been tagged for deletion, as it meets one or more of the criteria for speedy deletion; specifically, it has no content, other than external links, categories, "see also" sections, rephrasing of the title, and/or chat-like comments.

You are welcome to contribute content which complies with our content policies and any applicable inclusion guidelines. However, please do not simply re-create the page with the same content. You may also wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article.

Thank you. Falcon8765 (talk) 17:20, 20 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Just Like Clockwork (The Worst Witch), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing no content to the reader. Please note that external links, "See also" section, book reference, category tag, template tag, interwiki link, rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article don't count as content. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Just Like Clockwork (The Worst Witch), a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. De728631 (talk) 19:36, 20 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The Worst Witch

[edit]

Hi there. I notice you've created a few articles on the worst witch series. A lot of these have come under my radar when looking for uncategorised articles. I've created the Category:The Worst Witch for you. If you put the articles you have/will create in there, and perhaps create some subcategories, it might help them to grow. Your articles about characters

[edit]

Hi Azure12, I've noticed you've been creating a lot of articles about book and TV characters, often very minor ones. We generally don't have articles about every single character in a work, except for certain extremely important works like Hamlet. Minor characters in not-so-important works just don't have the notability for a stand-alone article. I hate to see you put in a lot of work on a dozen articles about The Worst Witch characters, for instance, only to have them all deleted or redirected to the main article. Just because something—a book character, a college dorm, a TV episode—exists does not mean it belongs in a whole separate article.  Glenfarclas  (talk) 00:42, 2 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Earhart's Heirloom/Ancient Greeks has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

You've created a surprising number of articles, and most if not all have been either deleted or redirected. One of the biggest reasons is that you've created articles without any references about subjects where references will be hard to find. Judging by the types of articles you're creating, I'm going to guess you are a younger user. I'm going to add one of our welcome templates underneath this. It gives some really useful links and will probably explain things so you have a better idea about how things work around here. If you have questions please come and ask me on my talk page.

You seem to be very interested in Disney/Pixar films and have been making a lot of edits to related articles. However, the content you are adding ("Pixarfilm10 was the third film including Generic Actor after Pixarfilm2 and Pixarfilm4") is really not relevant, considering that the films usually feature a number of well-known actors, and misplaced, since the lead section is not the place for trivia.

Please, look over your talk page and consider whether the contributions you have been making so far are worthwhile or not. Wikipedia depends on the participation of everybody, but it doesn't mean that every piece of information or synthesised idea that people have should necessarily be included. [edit]

Dear Azure12 You can see from your talk page that there have been a lot of concerns about your editing but I can see from your contributions that you have never edited an article talk page or user talk page to discuss these concerns. Wikipedia is a collaborative project that relies on volunteers to discuss issues and reach a consensus. It is disruptive for one editor to continue to insert questionable content into articles and refuse to discuss the issue with the editors who then have to tidy up after them. I have therefore removed your editing rights. This block is indefinite in the context of no specified time. All you need to do to be unblocked is to confirm that in future you will discuss any concerns over your edits with other editors.
