April 2021

Information icon Please do not introduce incorrect information into articles, as you did to Muay thai. Your edits could be interpreted as vandalism and have been reverted. If you believe the information you added was correct, please cite references or sources or discuss the changes on the article's talk page before making them again. If you would like to experiment, use your sandbox. Thank you.

Your claim that the underlined words in "Muay Thai is related to other martial art styles of the Indian cultural sphere such as Musti-yuddha" was "removed without explanation" is deliberately false. No where in the revision history was it ever included, not to mention the fact that it's unverified.

LemonOneThousand (talk) 06:21, 24 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@LemonOneThousand: I think you have been mistaken. I rv the edit because it was there in a previous version of the article before it was deleted without any explanation by an IP user. It's not deliberately false because I checked the sources attached to the end of the sentence to make sure I was rving an edit that was factually correct. Page 66 of Language, Space and Cultural Play: Theorising Affect in the Semiotic Landscape speaks about Muay Thai's relationship with styles from other parts of the the Indian cultural sphere. I have rv your edit based on this, hope you're okay with it. (Ayuuy7 (talk) 02:40, 25 April 2021 (UTC))[reply]

Blocked as a sockpuppet

[edit]
Stop icon
You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for abusing multiple accounts as a sockpuppet of User:Sapah3 per the evidence presented at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Sapah3. Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  ~TheresNoTime (to explain!) 22:50, 18 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Hi, I think you have been mistaken over who I am and associated me with a sockpuppet. I can confirm I am not Sapah3. I actually rv their edit in the past because of them being a sockpuppet (see my edit here, this is their edit here which I rv). I don't know what else to say but my edits on Wikipedia are for rving sockpuppets and making grammatical edits not for POV editing or aggressive editing behaviour as is the case with the sockpuppet edits I have rv. I hope you will consider my response. Thank you Ayuuy7 (talk) 13:42, 20 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Confirmed to Gonghca, at least. Yamla (talk) 14:46, 20 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Unrelated to my request but I had a look at the Sapah3 investigation and I noticed that the user who created Sapah3 investigation page and associated me with Sapah3 is a sockpuppet of Ineedtostopforgetting called ZaneFelix. When I did rv sockpuppet edits earlier in the year, I noticed conflict between sockpuppet accounts of Sapah3 and Ineedtostopforgetting. I think I have wrongly been associated with this conflict. (Ayuuy7 (talk) 13:49, 20 November 2021 (UTC))[reply]
  • Unrelated to my request, I notice I interacted with a sockpuppet of Ineedtostopforgetting in April on my talk when they messaged me. I believe the user is under the pretense I am Sapah3, which is not the case. These comments of mine are just me trying to understand what has happened with my Wikipedia history for this to happen because I think there is some sort of conflict happening between those sockpuppets that is resulting in collateral damage. (Ayuuy7 (talk) 14:23, 20 November 2021 (UTC))[reply]
  • Unrelated to my request, this is not my area of expertise but I notice many accounts/IPs have been associated with Sapah3 on the archive page. I haven't gone through them but I wonder if any of those accounts/IPs or anything similar have made any of the same edits as Sapah3 since they were reported and if there are anymore accounts/IPs associated with Ineedtostopforgetting that have made any edits that may indicate some sort of ongoing IP conflict happening between the sockpuppets somewhere else on Wikipedia. I'm just trying to wrap my head around why one of the early edits of ZaneFelix would be to associate me with Sapah3. I know I interacted with them in April but they never said I am a sockuppet, so I am wondering why now in November? (Ayuuy7 (talk) 14:35, 20 November 2021 (UTC))[reply]

Request reason:

Hi, sorry but no I am not Gonghca either. I haven't made any edits to any of the pages Gonghca has made edits to. These are my edits and these are Gonghca's ones. Either Gonghca is a completely different account or a sockpuppet of Sapah3 but that is not me. I really don't know how else I can prove my innocence but I hope you consider this. Thanks. 14:53, 20 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

We can't really unblock people accused of sockpuppetry who say "But I'm not them!" because there's no way to confirm that you're not the other person. — Daniel Case (talk) 06:56, 21 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Hi, can you please explain to me how this was determined? Is it IP? My edits are very different to Gonghca's edits so I'm trying to understand how I am linked with Gonghca. These are indeed accusations and a rather unfortunate situation for me to be in because I have not broken Wikipedia policy. Thank you for reading my appeal. Ayuuy7 this has been on hold a few weeks without further comment from you, so am assuming you have found the info you were looking for on the sockpuppet case page. If you have any further unblock appeals, please make them from your master account and not this one. --Euryalus (talk) 19:56, 11 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Public details of how this was determined are at the bottom of this page. A checkuser has matched the technical details of your account with that of User:Gonghca, whcih is a sockpuppet account of User:Sapah3. While no set of data is flawless, there is a fairly high standard of evidence for checkuser blocks so the "it wasn't me" defence is rarely successful.
Checkuser blocks cannot be undone without checkuser input, so I've pinged TheresNoTime as they are the checkuser who imposed the block, in case they have anything they wish to add. Absent that, this appeal will likely be declined. -- Euryalus (talk) 09:19, 30 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Hi, I still don't understand the justification for blocking me. I did more research about the way blockings work on Wikipedia by reading a few blogs online and I have learned that sometimes innocent accounts are caught in the misfire of a sockpuppet. I am still unsure how I am linked to either Sapah3 or Gonghca. My edits are not the same as either Sapah3 or Gonghca. I still don't understand how I was linked to these accounts. Was it IP? How is this determined? I have taken note that there was a hold on my unblock request for the administrator to comment but my request was declined even before the administrator could explain to me what happened. Could someone please explain to me how this was determined? BTW, I don't use Wikipedia all the time so this is why I have taken a long time to reply. I have been busy doing other stuff IRL. Thank you for reading my appeal. Ayuuy7 (talk) 01:37, 17 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Hi, sorry but that still doesn't expain to me how this was determined and no, I haven't used multiple accounts. I read through the SPI and the closing administrator never confirmed my link to Sapah3, they came to the conclusion that it was "likely" but I still don't understand how that conclusion was devised. Can you please explain to me what it is exactly that has supposedly linked me to Sapah3/Gonghca? I still don't know what that is and the SPI does not provide this information. I am very much in the dark in regards to all of this. Thank you for reading my appeal. Ayuuy7 (talk) 14:32, 17 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Hi Ayuuy7. This block has been reviewed by two checkusers (TheresNoTime and PhilKnight) and both have confirmed their view that you have been abusing multiple accounts. There is more info at the sockpuppet investigation page, which you mention you have already read. On that basis there's really nothing else to be said, and your only possibility of an unblock is via the standard offer in about six months. Regrettably as the repeated and largely identical appeals are becoming a time sink I've removed talkpage access. If you do seek a "standard offer" unblock it should be via WP:UTRS after at least six months of no sockpuppetry. Euryalus (talk) 02:51, 18 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
