Pyre (novel) moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Pyre (novel), does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Thank you for this. Was fumbling somewhat there. I will complete this in my draftspace and reupload. AyushMukherjee376 (talk) 17:57, 3 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
AyushMukherjee376, no problem, it looks like you've made a good start and it just needs some work (and citations!) before you publish. Happy editing! Schazjmd (talk) 18:08, 3 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, submitted for review again.AyushMukherjee376 (talk) 12:29, 6 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation pages

[edit]

Hi AyushMukherjee376, I edited your addition to Boyfriend (disambiguation), changing The Boyfriend from a red-link into a MOS:DABMENTION. Basically, red links should only be added to a disambiguation page when a linked article also uses that red link (MOS:DABRED). R. Raj Rao does not have The Boyfriend (2003 novel) as a red link. Leschnei (talk) 00:23, 7 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the edit. AyushMukherjee376 (talk) 04:05, 11 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Draftifications

[edit]

Hi. I noticed you moved the article Gaana to draftspace, but I've reverted it. We only move brand new articles to draftspace. In this case, Gaana was created 13 years ago and the article's author has not edited here since 2008, that means there would be no one around to clean up the article or add references to it before it is then automatically deleted in 6 months. – Thjarkur (talk) 19:01, 23 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, did not know! Thanks for pointing this out and the revert. --ayush (reach out) 02:38, 24 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited The Boyfriend (2003 novel), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Colonial (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Google Code-In 2019 is coming - please mentor some documentation tasks!

[edit]

Hello,

Google Code-In, Google-organized contest in which the Wikimedia Foundation participates, starts in a few weeks. This contest is about taking high school students into the world of opensource. I'm sending you this message because you recently edited a documentation page at the English Wikipedia.

I would like to ask you to take part in Google Code-In as a mentor. That would mean to prepare at least one task (it can be documentation related, or something else - the other categories are Code, Design, Quality Assurance and Outreach) for the participants, and help the student to complete it. Please sign up at the contest page and send us your Google account address to google-code-in-admins@lists.wikimedia.org, so we can invite you in!

From my own experience, Google Code-In can be fun, you can make several new friends, attract new people to your wiki and make them part of your community.

If you have any questions, please let us know at google-code-in-admins@lists.wikimedia.org.

Thank you!

My understanding was that Faiz' poems are public domain, @Winged Blades of Godric:, and can thus be reproduced without issues. I might be wrong about this though; can you send me the link which says this is not public domain?--ayush (reach out) 07:02, 2 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Why do you believe so and the onus of proving the existence of an exception lies on you. Faiz's copyright ought to exist until 2035 (1985 + 50 y) , under Pakistan IP laws. See Itar-Tass Russian News Agency v. Russian Kurier, Inc. and this piece. WBGconverse 07:14, 2 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I have sent you a note about a page you started

A tag has been placed on Category:WikiProject Indian Caste System articles indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and removing the speedy deletion tag. Liz Read! Talk! 20:21, 30 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
