there is no athletics section in University of Westminster and no Westminster Dragons article, per WP:NAVBOX, write the articles first. thank you. and it would be nice if you could stop adding non-existing categories and non-existing images to the navbox. These sections are being written (including the image). If you must revert edits, please do not format the Navbox incorrectly. The blue cells have been excessively used due to your changes. Apart from this, I will write the article and provide the correct links/categories. Ayoopdog (talk) 20:40, 4 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Name calling isn't civil

[edit]

I noticed that you made a comment on Talk:Chinese_New_Year that didn't seem very civil. We shouldn't call other editors "arrogant". Talk pages should concentrate on the subject of the article not the nature of the editors. See WP:CIVIL. Wikipedia needs people to collaborate, so it's one of our core principles to interact with one another in a polite and respectful manner. You may with to redact that comment. See WP:REMOVEUNCIVIL. If you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. -- Rincewind42 (talk) 02:13, 7 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I wouldn't call it name-calling per se. The tone of the message was definitely inappropriate, hence why I have changed the wording. Thank you for bringing this to my attention, and it wasn't my intention to be uncivil. Ayoopdog (talk) 18:44, 12 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Nepal national football team

[edit]

What do you mean that you "will complete the data in this case"? What data? You're not suppose to be using unreliable sources to begin with. South Asian Games wasn't a senior competition after 1999 which is I left it as! 3000 characters or 3 million characters. If it uses unreliable sources or the content should be put elsewhere then that's what needs to be done. Mas y mas (talk) 20:12, 11 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Can you please stop with your annoyance!! I'm not deleting text because I have an agenda or have something personal against someone specific. I did it because it's in violation of certain things along with not following common sense. It's against the MOS to link section headings. If you're gonna back up something such as stats you need a reliable source. The content I deleted doesn't follow any of that. You also have U23 content when it's a senior team page, therefore it should be deleted! I'll revert you one final time. If you continue to be a persistent annoyance, you'll be reported. Thank you! Mas y mas (talk) 20:49, 11 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Assume good faith?! Obviously!! But the scorers for Nepal's matches in that site isn't even complete therefore that list is INACCURATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHAT DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND ABOUT THAT!?!?!? YOU'RE SERIOUSLY DOING MY HEAD IN!!!!!!! I THEREFORE SUGGEST YOU TRY CLARIFY IF SOMETHING IS ACCURATE ESPECIALLY WHEN IT COMES TO STATISTICS BEFORE PASSING IT AS RELIABLE. YES, YOU'RE DOING SO IN GOOD FAITH BUT I'VE ALREADY MADE IT CLEAR THAT IT'S NOT RELIABLE YET YOU'RE BEING BONE HEADED ABOUT IT!!! I'VE ALSO MADE IT CLEAR ABOUT WIKIPEDIA POLICY SUCH AS WP:MOS WITH REGARDS TO LINKING SECTION HEADINGS!! WHAT ABOUT IT THAT YOU AND YOUR TINY BRAIN (IF YOU HAVE ONE AT ALL) DON'T UNDERSTAND?!?!?! U23 STATS/DATA ALSO DOESN'T BELONG IN THE PAGE AS IT ISN'T RELEVANT, THAT SHOULD BE COMMON SENSE!!!!!!! Mas y mas (talk) 22:00, 11 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I'm acting like a child?!? You're the one acting without a damn brain!!! So go on... discuss away... I've already told you numerous times about what the reasons were for the removal yet all you do is act brain dead mimic a broken record and keep saying, "please discuss in talk page" as if no you're not being informed!! So again, go on discuss here ON YOUR TALK PAGE about what it is that you don't seem to comprehend. I would also suggest you brush up on some wiki policies such the WP:MOS. Mas y mas (talk) 07:57, 12 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Please refrain from behaving in this manner, this is the second time you have written abuse on my talk page. And abuse will not be tolerated any more. Further to your tags: Anti-vandalism tools, such as Twinkle, Huggle, and rollback, should not be used to undo good-faith changes unless an appropriate edit summary is used. Please see: Wikipedia:TW. Regarding the discussion, I am happy to attend to your concerns. Do you suggest that I move the content to another article? Or wait till today until I find a more appropriate source that the community agrees on? Ayoopdog (talk) 12:20, 12 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I suggest you refrain from behind absent minded. Trying to explain something to you is like explain something to a brick wall! If you're really "happy" to attend to then issues then you wouldn't be reverting my edits! The only content that should be moved (if there's an appropriate page) is the competition records that aren't for the senior team! For the top scorers, as I've said a gazillion times, the source isn't accurate because it's missing data for certain matches. Heck, even as is, you've fabricated data as the table doesn't even match up against the source! It needs to be REMOVED! There are no substitute sources! Mas y mas (talk) 18:04, 12 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for the message, I have come up some resolutions for us. But firstly I must mention that the tables in question aren't fabricated. If you do the maths, you'll find that the tables includes Nepal's performance in the latter stages of the tournament. Therefore, the tables represents Nepal's overall performance in the tournament, forming a complete competitive history. If you do not believe me, you can tally up the scores and cross reference them with the tables presented. Although, if you have any concerns with the data, you can always message me here instead of deleting without anyone knowing. I respect what you do, Wikipedia relies on people enforcing these rules, and I am on your side. But there's a proper manner in which we have to adopt in order to better the article. I will review the top goal scorers for a more suitable source, until then I am happy for you to remove it for now. Regarding the South Asian games, I feel that since it includes the senior team's competitive history, it would be wrong to exclude this from the team's complete competitive history. There is the possiblity to redact the U23 bits, and create a 'Nepal at the South Asian Games page' with everything on it. What do you think? Ayoopdog (talk) 18:36, 12 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Nepal youth footballers

[edit]

You created a bunch articles for U16 players. None of those meet the criteria for WP:NFOOTY or WP:GNG. Mas y mas (talk) 18:39, 13 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the message. They have played at the AFC U16 Championship Qualifiers. I will source this soon. Ayoopdog (talk) 18:42, 13 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I suggest you brush up on these criteria, especially NFOOTY. Playing in a youth tournament such as the AFC U16's does not make players notable. All those articles you created needs to be deleted. Mas y mas (talk) 19:09, 13 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Forgive me, but the AFC U16 Championship is a route to the FIFA U17 World Cup. Therefore, these players are very much notable if they compete in a qualifying tournament. I know this because I've won deletion nominations on this topic before. Ayoopdog (talk) 19:11, 13 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Either you're taking the piss or you have another account because there's nothing in your editing history which shows you've won deletion nominations for youth players or any player for that matter. The only Afd you've been involved in was the Nepal U14's which got deleted and the Nepal U17's which was kept. Mas y mas (talk) 19:34, 13 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Don't start with your foul language again. Have a read for the reasons why it was kept, and why the U16 players do not fail WP:NFOOTY and WP:GNG. Ayoopdog (talk) 19:37, 13 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
What foul language? Also, you're the one claiming to have won deletion nominations for such articles when there's no evidence. But anyway, I'll nominate them for afd and we'll see. They do fail GNG that's for sure! We'll see if you reasoning holds up for NFOOTY. Mas y mas (talk) 19:42, 13 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Bimal Magar

[edit]

Two things; you have listed stats for Nepal U14. The AFC U14 Festival until 2012 weren't official games therefore you can't give stats for those. And in the intro it states that he became Nepal's youngest player since Rohit Chand at 17. Obviously it's referenced, but the part about Rohit Chand is wrong! Bharat Khawas scored on his debut as a 16 year old in March 2008! Mas y mas (talk) 19:30, 21 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I didn't write the part about Rohit Chand. Amend as you wish. Ayoopdog (talk) 19:47, 21 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Cut-and-paste move

[edit]

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Aaha Gold Cup a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Aaha! Gold Cup. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut-and-paste-move repair holding pen. Thank you. Great idea, yes there are so many notable articles to be created for Nepalese football. There's only a handful of dedicated people on Wikipedia to help Nepali football, it's just a matter of time commitment. But with your help, I can definitely lend a hand with this. This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a search with the contents of 2015 SAFF Suzuki Cup, and it appears to be very similar to another Wikipedia page: 2015 SAFF Championship. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case. If you are intentionally trying to rename an article, please see Help:Moving a page for instructions on how to do this without copying and pasting. If you are trying to move or copy content from one article to a different one, please see Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia and be sure you have acknowledged the duplication of material in an edit summary to preserve attribution history.

File permission problem with File:TrivandrumInternationalStadiummodel1.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:TrivandrumInternationalStadiummodel1.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 10:38, 18 September 2015 (UTC) [reply]

Deletion pending for File:TrivandrumInternationalStadiummodel1.jpg

[edit]

Hello, Ayoopdog. Some time ago, a file you uploaded — File:TrivandrumInternationalStadiummodel1.jpg — was tagged with {{OTRS pending}}, indicating that you (or perhaps the copyright holder if you did not create this image) submitted a statement of permission to permissions-en@wikimedia.org. Though there is often a backlog processing messages received at this address, we should have received your message by now.

  • If you have not submitted (or forwarded) a statement of permission, please send it immediately to permissions-en@wikimedia.org and let us know at the OTRS noticeboard that you have done so.
  • If you have already sent this message, it is possible that there was a problem receiving it. Please re-send it to permissions-en@wikimedia.org and let us know at the OTRS noticeboard that you have done so.

If we don't hear from you within one week, the file will be deleted. If we can help you, please feel free to ask at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 14:38, 18 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Rivalry

[edit]

Irony seems like the perfect word here. You say there are credible sources yet you couldn't even provide them in the article itself or even in the AFD. There is nothing in those three sources from the page that discusses a supposed rivalry and there isn't anything else that can found to prove a supposed rivalry. It's a clear POV issue which is part of the reason I've nominated it and rightly so. If you find credible sources which properly discusses a "rivalry" between India and Nepal, then by all means create it. Until then, don't go around sulking because in your mind I or other people are "ruining" the community. There are clear guidelines to be followed, if you can't follow them, that's your problem. Regarding an error in the Gaurika Singh's article.

[edit]

I've noticed that, under the 'Achievements' section of the Gaurika Singh, you have shown her as representing Copthall Swimming Club at the 2016 South Asian Games. But she was actually representing Nepal there. In fact, she was representing Nepal in all of the events mentioned in that table. So, I think you should replace Copthall Swimming Club with Nepal in that table along with replacing 'Club' with 'Nation' in the header. As I don't have any knowledge of swimming templates, I am leaving it up to you to rectify that.–NitinMlk (talk) 00:29, 19 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Invite to the African Destubathon

[edit]

Hi. You may be interested in participating in the African Destubathon which starts on October 15. Africa currently has over 37,000 stubs and badly needs a quality improvement editathon/contest to flesh out basic stubs. There are proposed substantial prizes to give to editors who do the most articles, and planned smaller prizes for doing to most destubs for each of the 53 African countries, so should be enjoyable! So it would be a good chance to win something for improving stubs on African sportspeople, including footballers, athletes, Olympians and Paralympians etc, particularly female ones, but also male. Even if contests aren't your thing we would be grateful if you could consider destubbing a few African articles during the drive to help the cause and help reduce the massive 37,000 + stub count, of which many are rated high importance (think Regions of countries etc). If you're interested in competing or just loosely contributing a few expanded articles on African Paralympians, Olympians and committees etc, please add your name to the Contestants/participants section. Diversity of work from a lot of people will make this that bit more special. Thanks. --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 21:13, 6 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Asian 10,000 Challenge invite

[edit]

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! Speedy deletion nomination of MYKRIS

[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on MYKRIS requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://in.bookmyshow.com/person/mykris/1084918. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. DS alert BLP notification

[edit]

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in articles about living or recently deceased people, and edits relating to the subject (living or recently deceased) of such biographical articles. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

To opt out of receiving messages like this one, place {{Ds/aware}} on your user talk page and specify in the template the topic areas that you would like to opt out of alerts about. For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.
