- Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
- It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
- If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
- Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
- When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
- If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
- Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.

[edit]Hello, I'm Ohnoitsjamie. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contribution attempts have been disallowed by an edit filter as they did not appear constructive. If you only meant to make test edits, please use your sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. If you believe the edit filter disallowance was a false positive, please report it here. Feel free to ask for assistance at the Teahouse whenever you like. Thank you. Your username
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. I saw that you edited or created Draft:Alper Küçük, and I noticed that your username, "TurkishRC", may not comply with our username policy. Please note that you may not use a username that represents the name of a company, group, organization, product, service, or website. Examples of usernames that are not allowed include "XYZ Company", "MyWidgetsUSA.com", and "Foobar Museum of Art". However, you are permitted to use a username that contains such a name if it identifies you individually (not your role), such as "Sara Smith at XYZ Company", "Mark at WidgetsUSA", or "FoobarFan87", but not "SEO Manager at XYZ Company".
Please also note that Wikipedia does not allow accounts to be shared by multiple people and that you may not advocate for or promote any company, group, organization, product, service, or website, regardless of your username. Please also read our paid editing policy and our conflict of interest guideline. If you are a single individual and are willing to contribute to Wikipedia in an unbiased manner, please request a change of username by completing the form at Special:GlobalRenameRequest, choosing a username that complies with our username policy. Alternatively, you can just create a new account and use that for editing. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. Thank you. - I assume "TurkishRC" refers to Turkish Red Crescent, the
Director General for International Affairs & Migration Services
of which Alper Küçük is, according to your draft. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 10:08, 29 November 2024 (UTC)- Yes, I was not sure what else to write it as if the name of the account was to be seen when publishing the article. If it is going to cause any issues, I can change it. TurkishRC (talk) 10:10, 29 November 2024 (UTC)
- Yes, please, do change it; otherwise I will have to block you. Thanks, -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 10:11, 29 November 2024 (UTC)
- Sorry for causing any inconviences. I couldn't find where to the edit the username. Could you give me some time please? TurkishRC (talk) 10:14, 29 November 2024 (UTC)
- Sure.
- See half way into the 2nd paragraph above, starting "If you are a single individual and are willing...", there's a link to the rename request form. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 10:20, 29 November 2024 (UTC)
- I have requested to change my username. It would be much appreciated if you didnot block my account and wait for my username to be changed TurkishRC (talk) 10:32, 29 November 2024 (UTC)

[edit]Hello TurkishRC. The nature of your edits, such as the one you made to Draft:Alper Küçük, gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being employed (or being compensated in any way) by a person, group, company or organization to promote their interests. Paid advocacy on Wikipedia must be disclosed even if you have not specifically been asked to edit Wikipedia. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.
Paid advocates are strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.
Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:TurkishRC. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=TurkishRC|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}
. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. DoubleGrazing (talk) 10:06, 29 November 2024 (UTC)
- I will not recieve any financial compensation for my edit. TurkishRC (talk) 10:12, 29 November 2024 (UTC)
- If you're employed by the organisation, you come automatically under our paid-editing rules, even if you're not explicitly paid to edit Wikipedia. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 10:20, 29 November 2024 (UTC)
- what would you be needing from my end? TurkishRC (talk) 10:34, 29 November 2024 (UTC)
- You need to make a formal disclosure. The easiest and clearest way to do this is with a template. Above, the paragraph starting "Regardless, if you are receiving..." provides a link to the {{Paid}} template, and even provides the template with your user name filled in, you just need to complete the employer and/or client fields. Place this template on your user page User:TurkishRC. (That said, it may be better to wait for your name change to go through first, so that you don't need to then immediately go and update this template.) -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 10:44, 29 November 2024 (UTC)
- Okay, I will fill this out once my username is changed. Thank you for the help. TurkishRC (talk) 10:49, 29 November 2024 (UTC)
- I have added my financial disclosure User:Ay8681ay Ay8681ay (talk) 06:43, 2 December 2024 (UTC)

- I have corrected the format of that disclosure. You should have copied it as it appears above when you read this page, not as it shows when you edit this page; that is to say that you shouldn't have included the "<nowiki>" tags. JBW (talk) 13:37, 2 December 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you! I actually did copy it as above, I'm not sure what went wrong. Ay8681ay (talk) 05:27, 3 December 2024 (UTC)
